Smart Bulb (2-pack) is literally plug and play, with minimal setup and pretty intuitive app.

You can control the globes with Apple Home Kit (or Alexa and Google if that's your ecosystem), but the LIFX app offers more precision and has some cool features like 'mood', and modes that can make the lights flicker and even react/coordinate to music. Apple HomeKit have some good default 'Scenes' including Arrive Home (lights on when your phone connects to the same Wi-Fi network) and Goodnight (lights off) among others.

If you have trouble connecting them to your Wi-Fi network, a quick YouTube search will solve it. I can't recall if I had any issues but I did come across some posts online when I researching whether to get these bulbs or not.

I tried Meross LED smart globes and they were okay - but the dimming is incremental (so it jumps from different brightness levels) but the LIFX globes dim gradually which doesn't sound like a big deal but it really makes a difference!

I bought $13 floor lamps from K-Mart and popped these globes in I don't think I've used the actual mains wired LEDS in my apartment for ages. The more globes you have the more elaborate the mood settings become. Seems gimmicky but again, makes a big difference.

All in all, very happy. Will definitely be purchasing more when they come on sale.
