I love the Optus X Total if your a simple person that needs a simple phone for basic texts, emails and calls with a decent camara and storage this is the phone for you it may be slow and lag sometimes but i rate it 10/10 very good phone Show details

when they come out I go through a few every year. I have used the Optus X Max for the longest time and been through all the updates released so far. I have seen a couple of issues like after a couple of weeks of use it will stop working with my home WiFi network - restart the handset will fix that.

In fact if you use Android handsets and most likely Apple you should look at doing the two following things.

1) Setup a automatic restart for your handset to occur at some stage so you don't allow the bugs in the OS to show themselves. You might be switching your handset off at bed time like one of my mates does and he never sees an issue... But it is worth doing this at least once a week.

2) Ensure that your devie is up to date with all its apps updates and the OS updates. They are fixes after all.

As for the Optus X Max, It is the largest scren wise out of my current handsets. It works with my new car over Bluetooth and Android Auto direct connection via USB. It has good sound and while I am commuting I listen to podcasts using Bluetooth headset for hours every day without issues. Battery life is over a full day of use but I charge when I sit down so I am never caught out. Speed wise it is good. I have had gaming handsets before too and normal games are ok on this handset.

So I do recommend this handset. Ofcourse it is now end of life and so it is hard to find but Woolies stores are selling it for $19 which is a discount of $160 so if you find one for that price, get it as a spare or for the kids.

I picked up 2 yesterday and that store had more there still.
