Would have given it 5/5 if it is easier to get to the perfect setting – Took me months trying to figure out the best setting to get powerful vocal, effects and surround. It turns out the auto calibration still need some… Read more
work, and this FAQ that solves the issue was hidden so well that it is almost impossible to find by googling. For other YSP-2700 users, follow this guide: https://faq.yamaha.com/asia-latinamerica-mea/s/article/000001748
Once done, set your centre to the mean value of your front right and front left, and add 10 to both rear right and rear left, the ready to be blown away.

Best sound projector on the market. Highly recommended – Full cinema experience without the hassles of cables and bulky speakers. I bought it but the expectations were not that high coz how much sound or I… Read more
must say how can quality sound be generated by just a sound bar / projector but I was in for a surprise. It is just awesome and if your TV supports Dolby ATMOS and you connect it via HDMI to this beast, you will be moved by the sound. But make sure you have the right sub at least NS-SW100 or higher.
No cables no bulky speakers everywhere. Just this projector and the sub which you can place anywhere but will need to buy the wireless kit.
Glad we bought it.

Excellent soundbar – Don’t let the cheap price fool you. This soundbar compares to BOSE and other higher end models which are 6-10 times the price. Yamaha are on a winner… Read more

warranty. When it failed the second time, network card was priced around $300 with labour it would be around $400. I didn’t want to spend that much not knowing how long it will last. I don’t recommend this product.

absolutely woeful bluetooth range – the sound from the YAS-209 is ok but ... when streaming music from a phone, the phone had to be within a few metres of the unit & in a direct line of… Read more
sight with the soundbar otherwise the sound stuttered & cut out. if someone walked between the phone & YAS-209 the sound would stutter & cut out. i am comparing the bluetooth range of the YAS-209 to a pair of Jabra elite 65t earbuds & a UE megaboom speaker. when streaming music to the Jabra elite 65t the phone could be in 1 room & I could walk around the house going into other rooms without losing signal. obviously I lost signal if I ventured too far away. ditto for the UE megaboom. both the Jabra elite 65t & UE megaboom speaker trounced the Yamaha YAS-209 soundbar with regard to bluetooth range. the remote control for the YAS-209 is underwhelming. it was faster to use the app to adjust settings than using the remote. i thought I could live without a display for volume & sound profiles but a display is great as a reference point for volume & sound profiles. I returned the YAS-209 to Amazon for a full refund. due to the lack of display, the dinky remote & absolutely woeful bluetooth range I would definitely not recommended the Yamaha YAS-209 soundbar.

without breaking the bank. Perfect for distortion free enjoyment at low to medium volumes. Only limitations are the missing highs and deep bass when listening to music but generally warm with good voice projection. Remote feels like a toy but the Yamaha app is available.

Typical of rubbish sold to the uninitiated – So you finally relent and upgrade to an expensive smart tv, the sound is tinny and you find out this is the norm so you relent to the pressure you… Read more
need a soundbar, you research like mad and choose a product from a manufacturer historically connected to music and sound, and you get what? Sound out of sync, so after brain bashing research come across something called PCM?, OK, that fixed that one but who knows what that was all about, then there is four buttons for presets rather than an equalizer interface in the minimalist interface of the mobile app, and there is no difference between any of them, and while you are trying different settings, the soundbar seized up the TV and it has to be reset to get control back, and the woofer boom just keeps vibrating under everything no matter what settings you tweek on the TV, an absolute waste of money and it's back in the box and now my biggest problem is where to store it or do I just GIVE it back to the shop because it's yet another product making money from the uninitiated caught out by the marketing with no recourse to get a refund once it's been unpacked. Advice!? Spend a hell of allot more money but get s degree in sound engineering first because the whole subject is just too difficult to understand unless all you want to do is blow your ears out, or just put up with the tinny sound from the expensive smart TV. What a con this whole television industry has become!
