Best sound projector on the market. Highly recommended – Full cinema experience without the hassles of cables and bulky speakers. I bought it but the expectations were not that high coz how much sound or I must say how can quality sound be generated by just a sound bar / projector but I was in for a surprise. It is just awesome and if your TV supports Dolby ATMOS and you connect it via HDMI to this beast, you will be moved by the sound. But make sure you have the right sub at least NS-SW100 or higher.

No cables no bulky speakers everywhere. Just this projector and the sub which you can place anywhere but will need to buy the wireless kit.

Glad we bought it.

Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $1,999.

What were they thinking? – After grappling with a bluetooth only soundbar and subwoofer combo, I returned it and purchased the Yamaha. Everything went well until I went to set up the subwoofer. After almost an hour of double checking, I resorted to calling the 1800 number for help. At least it came fast. I was soon to discover that I must source my own audio cable to set up the sub in the wired mode. After some scratching about, I found one. Still nothing! 1800 again! This time I had to source an ethernet cable to link the soundbar with the t.v. After a lot of following instructions, I finally had a working unit. It works fine and has excellent clear voice. Why did I have the issues? The tech cheerfully informed me that the units were programmed to be wireless connected in the factory but, but, but..... they don't come with the bluetooth or wireless kit and as I learnt, no audio cable either. All this means is that any buyer must either buy a sufficiently long audio cable or they must buy a wireless kit before the system will operate with a subwoofer. As the soundbar and subwoofer are usually sold together, might it just dawn on Yamaha one day that buyers should be advised to make a purchase of either the wireless component or the audio cable at the same time? Better still, include both. Any system with a recommended retail above $2000 should include hardware for all installation options. Oh, the retail is well under $2000 in the current electronics market. Apart from this, I would have rated 4.5 stars.

Ultimate Sound Bar! – The perfect sound bar! This unit is simply amazing. We previously owned Yamaha 6.1 surround sound system, however there were speakers and cables every where. We simplified with this unit, including the wireless sub. The sound is immersive, clear, and truly surround sound, without rear speakers. Setup of the sound bar is straight forward following the user manual. If you have any questions Yamaha tech guys are only too happy to help. This sound bar is excellent for playing both movies and music. With 44speakers tuned to perfection, you will be impressed!!! It’s not a cheap item, however certainly a quality item worth every cent. Well done YAMAHA! Purchased from David Jones, excellent price and service!
