Abey Mix master failed three times.
Installed first mixer in 2014 as part of kitchen reno. In 2016 the seam on the casting on the underside of the spout failed and leaks sprayed out. Replaced under warranty by the kitchen company and Abey. In 2018 same failure. Abey agreed to replace tap, but unless installed at my cost by licenced plumber and water pressure tests done, would not replace again. So I installed it myself. Now failed again in 2020, same problem. Water pressure is not the issue. So unless you want to replace every two years, DON'T BUY ABEY!
Purchased in June 2018.
From My Standpoint I Would Never Consider This Company Or Its Stable Of Brands
Have had to replace all Tapware from this company & from day 1 found the merchandise did not live up to its pricing. The Gessi range with some prices north of $1000 is better in quality as one would expect however when recently confronted with a manufacturing problem Abey just played me around & then refused any help. I now buy my taps from China [Abey also buy from China] best go direct to somebody like Ali Express rather than through a local importer who will have wacked his 50% on selling price, most taps from China are compatible with Waterm...ark & Australian standards & lets face it most Taps in the market place are made in China anyway, its easy to save 50% & pay by Pay Pal & if you dont like the product they will pay the cost of return $45 per return up to 4 times a year,it is surprising that Harvey Norman dont have more control over such suppliers who think they own the market [ & perhaps they do] however a move to the buying as above will perhaps turn things around & favour the consumer & put much needed money in our pockets for enjoyment, good luck & remember the formula is to buy direct from China.JRgds John
Purchased in June 2011 for $945.
Purchased the Abey Mixmaster in 2012. The spout developed a leak after (4) years - poor quality material used in the manufacturing process. Be wary of the warranty requirements - requires licensed plumber to install. Submitted warranty claim and received replacement Abey Mixmaster - good response.
Spout spouted a leak after 4 years
Worked well for 4 years - then the spout developed a leak (presumably the seam failed) after 4 years.
Warranty on the cartridge is 15 years - but the rest of the tap is only one year (now I know why).
It is cheap - and you only get what you pay for - especially with this one.
Seam failed on spout
