Beware Acer's lack of after sales service! – Laptop has good battery life and is nice and lite. BUT!!!! After fighting Acer for my cashback and the Acer website stuffing up my cashback claim and me then sending in the paperwork 3 times and many phone calls later they tell me sorry but the offer has expired and i will not get my cashback offer! "Read the fine print too its not cash its a acer gift card!"

6 months down the track the cd drive has stuffed up after being told to try many diagnostic programs and being stuffed around acer tells me i need to format my computer and re install windows and my 500gb of data before they will even think about letting me send it in to be fixed!

I have built and installed and set up over 50 pc's in my life and have fixed around 150 software issues at work. I have been working with computers for 10 years and know when something is faulty but Acer will not accept this and keep telling me im just a silly person who does not know how a computer works.

Beware acer they will not honor cashback"s or warranty! Was good while it worked. Did not get my cashback and acer will not fix my cd drive

Has been 4 months ... haven't received $50 cash-back, is it a scam?

I also have been waiting for my cash back of $60. 4 months. Can they tell us why it has to be that long??? No more acer products for this family or our friends either,

Got to love being able to do your homework before buying. Was going out to buy Acer laptop tomorrow from MSY mainly due to cashback of $79. Now after reading reviews there is no chance, taking up the offer of $100 off a Toshiba ($50 more than Acer after cashback) from Dick Smith. Same specs. no non-existent cashback hassle, at least I'll know what I pay at the counter. Done and dusted.
