I've been surprised by all the positive reviews. I find this machine has a number of design flaws that limits is usability. It is a gaming laptop so most of the reviews are from a gamers perspective. But, if I am going to spend a couple of thousand dollars on a laptop, I want that laptop to do more than play games. See below for issues.
First, I've never used a laptop where the lettering on the keyboards is so faded. You are almost forced into using the keyboard backlight constantly just to read the keys. Bad design.
Second, the keyboard ...
Read morebacklight has only three brightness settings. My previous laptop had almost a continuous scale of backlighting. Third, the touchpad will drive you insane. Easily the worst touchpad I have ever used. Very small and to right click, its a postage stamp sized area in the bottom left of the touchpad. Crazy!!!! Fourth, the powerkey has no light, even when the backlighting is turned on. Why?Purchased in at FitZone Solutions for $1,995.

Love the look feel and speed. The start up is fast and heaps of neat features for gaming and design.
So far it still bearable to type. Bloatware remain the problem when buying this type laptop. I uninstall most of them except armory crate. In term of value, i bought this during the 15% discount. On that price i think its a great value.

One of the smallest beasts I've ever used. I've had mine for 3 months and use it as my daily driver. This thing is a pocket monster. I would definitely recommend using a laptop fan whilst gaming though, as it can get quite hot. The keyboard experience is not the best but it's what you pay for and the specs are more than you could ask for. It lasts me about 7-8 hours on low-medium power (PowerPoints and Spotify). One thing I really had to get used to is the lack of webcam but I can live without it.

I am new into the gaming laptop market, but I decided to take the plunge after my school laptop's wireless card started to break down. So, I opted to choose a decent laptop that could serve as an all-rounder. I am astounded by how much performance the Zephyrus G14 packs in a package that weighs the same as my previous laptop!
Pros:
- Great performance in a 14" package thanks to the Ryzen 4800HS. For me, the display hits the sweet spot: it's not too small like 13" laptops, not too large and bulky like 15" laptops.
- Thin laptop display bezel wi...

Perfect as an all-rounder laptop. Jack of all trades... Master of all.
Despite the specifications behind this laptop, it comes in at a total mass of 1.7kg. Overall, the presence of the Ryzen 9 4900 HS makes the laptop itself an all rounder laptop that can contest with the most demanding of tasks. In a lab setting where large data processing / image processing is consistently required, the laptop has been a live saver in many instances- where it is able to generate outputs faster than institutional workstations. The backings of its GPU, a RTX-2060 MaxQ, does help out a lot with more intensive tasks.

Read moreocessor, the 32gb RAM and 512gb SSD helps a lot with productivity around for work, however storage may be something that is less ideal for some. However, these things are nothing when upgrades are easily accessible with this laptop (or so I've heard). The keycaps on the keyboard is very responsive and given the overall design of the laptop, working for long hours on the device is not straining on the hands. As far as the keyboard and touchpads are concerned, it is one of the best ones around for laptops. Will be definitely making the transition into making this device my primary machine for work related purpose.Purchased in at Scorptec (Scorpion Technology) Online store for $2,729.

The laptop is quite light especially considering the power behind it.
The usage of a Ryzen processor makes the laptop both cheaper and more powerful.
The design of the laptop is also quite nice, and the AniMe Matrix is very cool.
A downside would be the 512gb SSD, with space for a secondary, though considering the size is unsurprising. Another downside would be the heat generated (though common for gaming laptops), so if you are considering this for a pure gaming laptop, I would recommend a cooling mat of some sort.
All in all, the downsides are unsurprising for the price point and size, and can be mitigated.

I use my laptop for programming. All of my application software runs very smoothly( even CPU heavy demanding rendering software, games & virtual machines). The laptop is extremely lightweight, and the materials feel very solid/ premium. Premium packaging. The screen wonderful & AMD 4800HS meets my performance requirements.

The zephyrus G14 is the perfect compromise between portability and power, except there isn't a Compromise. It has the power to tackle pretty much anything you throw at it yet isn't this big bulky machine that you think of what you hear gaming laptop. I'm easily getting 7 has battery out of it just doing school work (web browsing and basic stuff).
As for the downside well there are a few heat for one the fans can get pretty loud under load and I'd honestly suggest investing in a cooling mat if you going to be really testing the gaming performance. Another thing is I was only able to find a 512gb ssd spec so I'm going to have to upgrade.
That being said I love this computer.

This is a stylish, light-weight, slim machine that performs well for both work and play. Having done a couple of weeks of research, I narrowed it down to the Asus Zephyrus G14 because it strikes a good balance between what I need for gaming and for work. It's mostly a quiet laptop that roars to life when playing games. It's not overly hot and I've got no regrets buying it so far. Would recommend.

I have been using this laptop for a few days now and have now settled in, I am impressed by its build quality, the chassis is very stiff and its exceptionally compact for such a powerful device in this size class.
Pros:
- Lightweight with excellent build quality
- Powerful CPU
- Bright and vibrant high refresh rate display
- Beautiful and accurate glass topped track pad
- Keyboard is backlit, has a short travel but is still mildly tactile and is pleasant to type on
- Fingerprint reader in the power button

Absolutely love this laptop. Bought it for the size, screen resolution, RAM and discrete graphics and it has been an absolute pleasure to use. There's no shortage of ports - which was another feature that drew me to it (laptops nowadays have way too few ports to make them useful without a dongle). I've bought this laptop after having used a Macbook Pro for the last 6 years and it has been a pleasure to use.

The device has a fantastic 1440p display which is the perfect mix of battery life and quality. The build is very premium made of metal yet being soft to the touch. It performs well for what it is, although the 14 inch display is quite small, and importantly during COVID lockdowns, the device lacks a camera. Still a great device if you don’t need a webcam however!

The display and performance are top notch it is surprising that other manufacturers have followed assessment switch to ryzen processors. The battery life isn't remarkable but it gets the job done, sadly in the age of zoom it is missing what is a covid essential in a webcam.

The laptop runs games at a satisfying 120fps and at very high resolution. It also has a very nice processor and 16gb of ram which help when using certain programs like music programs. Its a very good laptop for the price and so far I've had no complaints with using it. 9/10
Was looking into purchasing a replacement thin-and-light which can do occasional gaming - and settled on one of a few Ryzen 9 devices in the market - I must admit that the decision was a sterling one. The Zephyrus G14 has it all, including 32GB of RAM that pairs perfectly with the 4900 HS powerhouse processor and it flies through productivity and gaming. The RTX 2060 is perfunctory but it is housed in a form factor that is perfect for travel (which we aren't doing much of these days) and mobility.
As a comparison, this laptop replaces my outgo...
Read moreing Zephyrus GL502V with GTX 1070 and I came away much impressed. The screen is great, if limiting (I had the 60Hz display version), but hey, battery life was impressive, lasting me much of the day and the next with loads of open Chrome tabs and light gaming. Animatrix was a plus, but mostly as distraction for the kids - don't really see much use in real-life as it is a simply a fire-and-forget setting that is ignored most of the time. All-in-all, one of the most impressive Ryzen laptops in the market - prices are falling too, due to the upcoming Ryzen series 5 and RTX 3XXX replacements, so you may snag some bargains, especially on the lower end of the series spectrum. Lack of a webcam is worrying (especially in our Zoom/Teams era), but nothing a separate spare USB webcam can't fix.Purchased in at Wireless1 Online Store for $2,649.
