and accuracy are brilliant. It has plenty of memory. The keyboard is almost the same size as a standard keyboard. The built in TV tuner is very good. I am receiving digital and analog tv. DVD player can not be faulted. The Acer 8930 has a Dolby Home Theater set up. It sounds is excellent through a 5:1 speaker set up. I bought this laptop because it left most competitors well behind. The appearance is impressive. I was warned for the reflecitve screen (high gloss) but nothing is further from the truth. The shape of the laptop makes it quiet nice to carry around. The media console on the lefthand side is very handy to adjust sound, play DVD's, fast forward etc. Below the keyboard is plenty of hand resting space. Thsi prevents your hands getting painfull leaning on the keyboard. The side panel for DVD and sound is often touched by the palm of the hand, when resting on the laptop. It takes a while to get use to it. The sensitivity of the volume touch panel is not so accurate, but saying that I use most of the time the volume icon in my desktop tray. I would like to see 2 more USB ports on this machine.
