Versatile laptop – In June 2021, I bought an Acer Spin 5 Convertible Laptop. Specs: 13.5" 2K 2256 x 1504 IPS Touch, 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065G7, 16GB LPDDR4X, 512GB NVMe SSD, Wi-Fi 6, Backlit KB, FPR. My kids originally received Acer Spin 3's at school and I thought it was super novel and versatile with its ability to flip over 360 degrees and built-in pen for… Read more
writing and drawing. I do think that it is more than what I actually need at this point in time and I haven't even started to use all of its features, but I like it a lot! My previous laptop was literally falling apart, so I needed a new one ASAP and bought this one from Amazon.com.au because none of the Australian stores had any Spin 5's in the size I wanted. It is really light weight and just the right size - not too big to cart and not too small either. Image and video quality is also really good and I was quite impressed by that.
It also has Alexa built-in, and comes with a month free trial of Norton Security Ultra, as well as a few other free trials that one can make use of.
Bluetooth cutting out and WiFi dropping – I bought acer spin 5 six months ago. Then its having Bluetooth intermittently cutting out and wifi drops. Contacted service center and they sent a number of software troubleshooting tips but none worked. Asked for warranty service and they found WIFI card faulty. I spent $10 to pack the product. They did repair and sent it back to me by post. The… Read more
service process was VERY FAST, I appreciate it. Also got couple of screwdriver marks on laptop after service, it's minor and doesn't worry me. Now it works fine at the moment and Keep updated if any. Thanks
Acer Spin 5 SP513-52N-88QM I7 Core 512GB – This laptop is fast and light. Lovely real metal casing as opposed to the painted plastic. This also has well spaced keys so fingers are not crammed and feels like typing on a full sized key board. Battery has lasted me in excess of 7 hours which is more than I need. The only negative is the massive 10mm on each side of the screen that is not used… Read more
and about 2 cm from top and bottom. I can understand how this can be a good thing when using in tablet mode as it provides a good amount of space to hold onto - however, i think it is a little excessive when used as a laptop
So far so good – I bought this to take on an OS holiday. Probably a little over the top for my needs but I love it. I had to also buy an external 2TB hard drive to transfer the pics/videos etc onto due to it being 512GB SSD storage but that's ok. I really wanted the lightness and smallness of the laptop. It is super fast to process. Actually faster than my work laptop. So far I am impressed. Show details

Decent – This laptop is really alright. It's nothing spectacular but it's certainly not horrible. The 360 spin option makes it really paractical for designing and drawing. The screen is really smooth and the display is clear so it's great for general use. I really enjoy using this laptop however it's not good for work that involves a lot of downloads Show details
