Acer Swift Go 16 AI
1 review
Had issues of shadowing from Day 1. This is where multiply versions of the screen you are working on suddenly appear on screen and then dissappear. And this is contantly repeated without warning. Contacted Tech support located in Asia. After 30 mins of the Tech person struggling to record my name and address, and my angry frustration, I was advised to replace with another new computer.
Replaced with new computer and have experienced the same issue of shadowing. Contacted Tech support and was advised the shadowing is inherent in this computer and is outside thier control. I was given instructions to correct however the issue keeps repeating itself. This is the first time I went with Acer and will be my last. I do not recommend Acer.
Follow-up · The correction instructions I was given as follows: 1. Push a Pin into the hole in the rear of the laptop and hold for 15 seconds 2. Hit the power button once 3. Hit F2 multiple times until a screen appears 4. Hit F9 and enter on top option 5. Hit F10 and enter on top option Issue is still on-going despite using this solution more than once. The operating system for this computer is Windows 11 Home The shadowing effect is seeing the main screen duplicated. A bit like looking at an index file with the same screen appearing behind the one before multiple times. It appears for a few seconds and then disappears as I move the curser around. I have since approached the Manager Office Works Strathpine, place of purchase, with the request he contact his Acer supplier to see if he could get a good referral for someone in the company IT department that can speak good english and knows this computer. No response yet.
