Great for the price! – I have had this swag for ages. I seasoned it about 5-6 times during sunny weather , and apart from one or two drop of water during a torrential storm, it has been excellent. condensation with that also ( aussie made) Ensure the seams are sealed, and there should not be a problem. Excellent value for money!

Superb swag , unsure why so much hate – I have owned my Big Daddy Deluxe swag for just over 3 years now and had roughly 30 very comfortable nights in it. canvas. I then repeated this procedure another 3 times , allowing it to dry inbetween soakings. I feel this swag has been given an unnecessary bad rap due to this often overlooked and underestimated process. Yes the previous comments said “I hosed it down like 5 times…..” You have to understand there will be a slight chemical residue on any product you buy from a factory , which will slightly inhibit a proper soaking of the canvas. The fabric needs to expand in order to fill the tiny pinholes created during the sewing process. Since doing this , I never had any other issues with water entering the swag or pooling. That’s with plenty of nights spent on the west coast of New Zealand in battering rain!

Anyway…..

It’s a great quality swag for the price point, made with great materials that have yet to fail on me. I stand by this and hope to see further positive reviews from customers of this product as I know there are plenty of happy campers out there !

No problems with the DS however, seasoned up fine.....saw a vid that you've changed the seams guys. Stitching on the BDD is a folded seam and the DS is overlap seam. Just dug the BDD out two weeks ago and pumped gorilla grip contact adhesive into the seams, straps and let it dry for 24hrs. No more leaking!?

I've got a heap of your stuff and have been so happy, battery, dcdc charger, fridge slide, 12volt oven etc. Don't want any sort of refund, just don't start skimping on quality out of the blue aye.

plastic. The mattress is less dense and you bottom out quickly. The canvas bag is also suffering the same fate and the zip is horrendous. If you are looking to purchase one of these....have a look around first, as I think you may now be disappointed

of Adventure Kings products has declined significantly in recent years due to an apparent change in manufacturer.

After these five frustrating days, I decided to make the hours-long drive back to the store to request a full refund for both the swag and the canvas bag, as they were part of a package deal. I had read up on the Australian Consumers Law beforehand, and I believed the product’s issues constituted a major fault which would mean that I would receive a full refund. After returning the swag, the store staff insisted on additional testing before offering any compensation could be offered which I was okay with as they told me it would only be a day or two before I heard back from them.

After an ENTIRE week goes by, I received an email stating that I would NOT get a refund because the swag was repaired in a reasonable time, and a replacement was ready for pickup. This led to weeks of back-and-forth emails with their claims department, who frequently delayed responses (sometimes leaving me in the dark for up to 4 days after I’ve sent multiple emails!) After 3 weeks of emails and headaches, I settled for a replacement because they flat out refused to budge. Their claims department seems trained to deny refunds at all costs, even when they are very clearly in the wrong.

I agreed to the replacement on the condition that it be delivered to my home. Without any confirmation of delivery or even acknowledgement of this email I found the replacement swag outside my house one day when I got back from work. I thought it was all over, but they for whatever reason failed to deliver the canvas bag which I bought and returned with the swag. For the past week, I’ve been trying to get them to send the missing bag and I’m still in the process of getting it delivered.

After a month of frustrating interactions, I’ve concluded that 4WD Supacentre and their staff are more interested in taking a quick profit no matter the cost to their reputation than providing quality products or service. The swag is very poorly made, and the company’s approach to customer service is dismissive and profit-driven. Avoid this swag and, if possible, this company altogether.

Multiple faults and returns are obstructive – Bought this a few weeks ago. Seasoned it multiple times in my back yard. Left it out over night in the rain and next day the entire inside was wet. camping for its first ‘adventure’. The eyelet supporting the horizontal pole fell out. Then a pole broke. I dont want a replacement as the online reviews are awful (which I found out after buying). I’m after a refund. Took it into Supacentre. They told me to report the faults online. I uploaded photos but the returns team are insisting on a video. Apparently the photos of water inside, a broken eyelet and a broken pole aren’t enough.

I’ve explained that I can’t erect the tent and take a video of the water entering as the pole is broken. Either way then eyelet is broken so the outer shell is defective. They’re still insisting on a video. Not really sure how a video will help.

I’m pretty sure consumer law doesn’t require a video. I’ve replied saying it needs to be sorted otherwise I’ll be making a complaint to the ombudsman. I’m waiting to hear back. Interestingly just saw an advert on TV where they’re floating a King Daddy swag in a creek to show its waterproof!! A coincidence, or are lots of people having issues with these swags letting water in!!

Update: After almost posting my review, supacentre contacted me. After lots of emails supacentre agreed to a give me a credit refund for the swag and bag. They didn’t give me a time frame to return it. I had the flu. 2 weeks later they closed my case. I asked for it to be re-opened which they did. I’ve dropped the swag and bag back in store. They have now back tracked and are only giving me a credit refund for my swag. Why would I want a bag for a swag that I don’t have!! The only reason I don’t have a swag is the one provided was of such a pour quality. I have RBI’s made a complaint to the ombudsman as emailing supacentre was like head butting a brick wall!!

Swag leeks and mattress squished – My swag leaks and mattress is completely squished on the edges. After season so many times my swag still leeks. It not waterproof at all. The store says they can't process the claim until head office approval of it. Just want my money back to get a swag from another company for my child camp. Already missed out on one and have another in a week time.

Poles are poor quality - broken 3rd time use – I was happy with this product the first two times it was used. Third time (within 18 months of purchase) and one of the end poles snapped. 4WD Supa Centre have declined to provide any support for this product, hiding conveniently behind the fact that it is over 12 months old and outside of their statutory warranty period.

This is not a perishable good that can reasonably be expected to deteriorate at the end of the warranty period. This is a product of unacceptable poor quality from day 1.

Rubbish Swag – I purchased this swag 18 months ago and it has leaked every time it has rained. Even in light showers water gets through and the mattress gets soaked. I seasoned the canvas as the user manual said but like so many other people it doesn't make the swag waterproof. Kings, you need to stop selling these swags! Show details

Quality has declined from the one sold 2 years ago – I bought this swag 2 years ago for my son and it was really good with a good mattress and decided to buy another one recently. models with a different seem at the wall and floor which dont leak this current model is rubbish. avoid unless your camping in a desert and can guarantee its not going to get wet
