Rust buckets – In the space of 15 years I went through 2 AEG steam ovens. The had a serious design fault and the rust through. I say 'had' because I think that newer models may no longer have an internal water reservoir. I will never buy another one regardless. Show details

Back of the oven rusted – I agree with the other reviews regarding the rust.. We’ve had ours for approximately 4yrs & I went to clean it the other day & the back of the oven fell out due to rusted screws.. we will never be buying AEG again.. we are now on the search for another oven Show details

oven rusted within 4 years – This oven commenced to rust in under 4 years of light domestic use. The holes in the back plate rusted out so that the screws holding the fan cover detached and new screws would not fit. A screw had to be inserted into the middle of the fan cover to hold it in place. The fan itself showed rust and had to be replaced. The oven interior is… Read more

enamel and AEG promote its very expensive ovens as "Perfect in form and function", This is misleading. I have had cheap ovens which have lasted four times as long as this one. I warn others to re-consider buying AEG. The ovens are not worth it.

Poor customer service – My AEG oven door shattered for no apparent reason after only owning it for 3 years. It has been a ridiculously laborious effort to have the door replaced. It was impossible to unscrew the door handle from the original door so a new handle had to be ordered. We only discovered this after waiting for months for the door to arrive. When the handle… Read more

eventually arrived, we discovered this did not come with screws or a lug. This was not explained to me by the customer service. So overall, a poor quality product with staff who are unhelpful and not knowledgeable. Won't be buying AEG again.

Problem after problem – I have an AEG steam oven for about 8 years and over time PC board has had to be replaced twice once under warranty and other time paid $436. Thermostat needed replacing and now the element. Only problem is parts not available because over 7 years old. Can find part in the uk but they say Electrolux Australia has to order as they wont ship to me… Read more

directly. Aeg tell me that they can't order from uk because it would stuff up their accounting in Australia. Couldn't explain really what that means.

Also very hard to clean- steam doesn't clean it.

Disappointing AEG combination oven – I have an AEG combination steam oven. It is 7 years old. I loved it until recently when it just stopped working (it would not turn on). I was advised it needed a new computer board. I phoned AEG service centre only to be told the part was no longer available. So a 7 year old oven that cost nearly $4,000 is redundant? AEG must be kidding. I am… Read more

currently renovating and ordering new household appliances. I will NOT be purchasing AEG again (now owned by Electrolux). I have had a Miele dishwasher for nearly 15 years. I will be looking at Miele for new ovens etc.

An excellent product – Compared with a previous model, this one is very easy to use even without reading the manual. It heats up rapidly and the quadruple glazed door ensures that heat loss through it is minimal. The central control knob makes setting the various functions very simple. The pyrolytic function works well leaving the oven quite clean. Ease of use, fast heating

Wonderful Oven, the best! – This oven has cooked everything from oven cooked chips to a Christmas cake perfectly! Everything comes out evenly cooked unlike other ovens I have used. It is easy to clean, I just wiped off spilt and cooked pastry from base of oven and it came off easily - haven't had to use the self cleaning feature. Bit tricky getting used to gaining the… Read more ·  1

correct cooking method from the menu because it is so different to other multi-function ovens I have used. Not sorry for spending the money! Also a knack to installing the telescopic runners, but easy once you know how. Even cooking and easy to clean. Got an excellent deal on the price charged too.
