Spectacular service

I would like to sent some praise to the flight attendant in zone 2 on flight AC374 from Winnipeg to Montreal on May 11th, 2024. My seat 14C. Thank you for your very genuine good heart! You captured my attention as your friendly radiant sparkling white smile just grabbed my heart. Watching you interacting with the passengers in such a loving kind and caring manner, accompanied with extreme patience, listening skills and expertise in your profession. I will forever remember you as you captured a very special place in my heart. You’ve made my day! Your kindness will never be forgotten. I hug you with my heart always. Air Canada is very fortunate having you on their team. With very warm regards always… Rita Grant Show details

Never again

Worst flight attendants ever. Poor service. The food was unbelievably bad. Never again. We were in a large group and all agreed with these comments. Show details

Tricky game

Booked 2 flights on Air Canada, from Perth to New York city. Got to Sidney, was told a visa to transit through Canada is needed. Why doesn't this information come out when you are purchasing tickets. I am Australian and was able to get a Canadian ETA using my phone. My wife who is not from one of the preferred countries can't get AN ETA. Good bye $2700.
My family got her to the US.
Got her to Brisbane but found out earlier that her ticket to Perth was canceled, small print on ticket.
It makes me wonder how many unused tickets have Air Canada sold because people wish to visit the US. Show details

BE CAREFUL

I recently joined Air Canada’s Aeroplan program through HSBC Star Alliance credit card. So far not so good, I tried to buy points and only 1,000 of it is $35 Canadian dollars and try to get transferred from a family member and guess what? Worst than buying, every 1,000 points will cost you $20 Canadian dollars to transfer ONLY!! This is insane!! I can see air Canada’s advertisements on Sydney buses (don’t be fooled by the fancy advertisements) I can comfortably say that (also considering the reviewed on Prosuct Review) this is another airline that may rip customers off. Their redemption system is not great either. More miles than some other start alliance members. Not happy Air Canada.

Ripped off

Booked a flight for two using air Canada website. Transition was declined. Booked again and was then accepted. Payed through PayPal for both transactions. Was charged for two booking. contacted PayPal and aircanada and was refunded one of the bookings. Two weeks later was refunded the other booking and was left without any flights to Canada. Rebooked but was $400 more. Contacted Air Canada they gave me a discount code but even with using the code put me out $500 dollars to book flights. What a joke!! Show details

Worst business class flight we've experienced - didn't feel like business class

Seats were hard, even the upholstery was ripped, attendants looked unhappy to be there mostly showing contempt for passengers, 15 more people to ask and already no lamb dinner choice left, the alternative fish rubbery and tasteless, I asked for a snack and water but waited 30 minutes - long time to wait for water. Not a business class experience. Would never choose to fly with them again unless they were the only airline available Show details

Unreliable and inconvenient

Horrible service and highly inconvenient with forced baggage checks despite other people having much larger bags. On top of, of course being delayed twice. I'd definitely fly with someone else next time. I can't believe I'm saying this but Lynx air was even better than this. Show details

Questions & Answers

We are flying from Anchorage International to Vancouver International on a separate flight with Air Canada. We have 2.5 hours at Vancouver airport to then catch our Air Canada flight back to Australia. The two flights are not linked.
Is this enough time to make the international flight? Do we have to go through Customs and Immigration again when we land in Vancouver? I'm concerned given the above reviews, we may not have enough time to make the flight home. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and kind regards, Barb

If my experience is anything to go by, there will be lots of infants, the plane will be full, seating tight and the food almost inedible.

I lost my bag on AC33 out of Vancouver on the 27th Feb 2023 along with many others. It eventually arrived on 17th March. I was unable to get any information and when using the customer call centre it was unobtainable so I emailed, I received a response advising to expect a reply within 45 days…. And this was a no reply response. I have had to buy extra clothing, trainers and shoes - how do I get a refund?
