Perfect – Excellent smart TV function I like out uses Android very satisfied with all the controls can be a little bit slow to turn on however once it's on it's an excellent TV great quality enough USB ports enough HDMI ports and compatible with everything I really like it especially because it's 65 inch and 4K and great smart Show details
Ordinary – Just set up new Akai Tele. coming from a 40 inch LG (bullet proof) treated it like I stole it, still going. Like the new massive screen, looks good. Sound seems good. Remote is like a cheap bit of crap. Looking for main buttons, small confused. Make sure you point at spot. For price 789 bucks for 65 inch is good. Seems to be a delay with every… Read more
selection. Missing me old LG remote. Tossing up weather or not I should have spent more. Maybe I can get a better remote and sound bar cause pic seems good.
Rubbish – I thought this tv looked and sounded great for the price but I am disappointed. I wanted to upgrade my current Sony smart tv (5 years old) to something 'smarter' and slightly bigger. The picture quality is good and I can use it to watch Netflix etc but my old tv is still far superior. One thing I do like is the remote control idea - with the… Read more
keyboard on the back and ability to use a pointer mouse to navigate. However that's where it ends. It is very clunky with considerable lag and waiting times to move between menu options. It is also very temperamental when using the remote and you literally have to stand up and point the remote directly at the sensor in the bottom left hand corner to turn the volume up or change the channel. There is the ability to connect a hard drive to the tv and record your tv shows however you're only able to record one channel and it has to be the same channel you're currently watching. Even our 30 year old VCR was capable of recording a different channel to the one you're watching. This is usually the whole reason you want to record ie because your husband wants to watch sport but you don't want to miss your show. This is just one example of some basic functions which are lacking on this tv.
I regret this purchase and looking into my options of returning it. My 5 year old Sony 'Smart' TV is still easier to use and more reliable than this AKAI tv. Next time I will spend slightly more money for a much better product.
