I usually love Aldi stuff, but this is the most disgusting coffee I've ever had the misfortune of drinking. After 2 cups I couldn't stomach it anymore and threw the jar out. Would rather drink pond water than this, absolute waste of money.

Is this coffee? – I have been buying a similar coffee at coles and was very happy but I thought this looks identical so I purchased one. Smelt awful and tastes awful. Aldi you do your reputation damage selling this coffee. I will be asking for a refund as this is not drinkable. Today a refund from Aldi was cheerfully and easily given, thankyou. Show details

Vulgar Smell & Taste – This coffee is the second worst instant coffee after Maccona Moka Kenya. I won't buy this coffee even if it's free. I actually tipped the jar. This coffee has a vulgar Smell & even a worse taste. You need the Aldi Classic Gold.

Probably the best tasting "Budget Supermarket Brand" Instant Granulated Coffee – With prices going up almost weekly and especially with coffee almost doubling over the last 2-3 years, many are searching for a cheaper coffee that still ticks all the boxes. Well folks Aldi's Alcafe Aroma Classic Instant Coffee at $3.69 for a 200g jar of granulated instant coffee is the place to start your search for a cheap but enjoyable coffee.… Read more

Compared with Australia's budget favourite "International Roast" this one has more punch and bite with a strong, slightly bitter after-taste. But of course some that prefer a weak coffee may not like this. I've compared with other cheap brands (including Coles) and this one takes the cake for me for the following reasons: 1. Its the closest you will get to a good barista coffee when it comes to instant coffees. 2. It has a lovely fresh coffee aroma when you peel the seal off the jar. 3. It has plenty of flavour, punch and bite, like a barista coffee. 4. Because its strong you dont need to use as much as other instant coffees - typically a level teaspoon is enough. This makes it very economical to use. 5. Being the cheapest supermarket brand 200g granulated coffee in Australia and the fact you would probably use less than other brands in making your coffee means its very economical indeed.
