  Stirling 2 Slice Toaster

preferred the earlier model – This was my second toaster from Aldi. Only had this one a few weeks and the push down lever on the side would not engage every time so I could not toast my bread. The first model lasted about a year but then started tro burn oin one side. When this new one worked the toast was perfect but it was not reliable. No fault with Aldi's customer service though it was excellent as usual.  Show details

Kuchef Toaster Disappointing – Lightweight, liked the illuminated settings. Worked well at first but when 30 days old it stopped toasting one side of the bread. Luckily I saved the receipt.

Trips the safety switch – Burns toast on every setting. After using the toaster for only two weeks it started to trip the safety switch. Not safe at all to use. If it weren't for the safety switch I would hate to think of the damage it could have caused. Do not buy. Cheap really was cheap this time. Unsafe

Poor design or poor quality control? – 'Automatic' toasters are not much use if you have to manually hold down the handle to keep the bread from popping up, and that's what happened to this toaster after a few weeks' of light use. When it worked it produced nice even toasting, but within a couple of weeks it needed several attempts to get the bread to stay locked down. Last week it… Read more

failed completely - no way to lock the bread in place no matter what I did. For the few times it worked, it made very nice toast It stopped working within a few weeks of light use

Guaranteed to burn toast every time – I bought this toaster because it looked good and was red (and there was a matching kettle and blender available), and I naively thought 'how can you go wrong with a toaster'. Well, I've since learned you can go very wrong. With this toaster I had to use a timer to make toast, as no matter what setting I used the toast would burn. The only thing it… Read more

didn't burn was frozen crumpets! Great if you like your toast charred. Looked nice. Made crumpets well. Burns toast, no matter which setting used.

Value for money – I am using maison two slice toaster for the last two years everyday and i am very happy with it. I bought it from ALDI and was under $20. I have never faced any problem in the last two years. It is very easy to use .It has 8 heat settings and you can use the setting as per your desire - how crisp you want your toast to be.It has got three buttons -… Read more

reheat, cancel and frozen and the toaster does its job very well.I am very happy with it.Its easy to clean, just take out the crum tray and wipe it with damp cloth and then put the tray back and clean the other parts of toaster with damp cloth. It is a value for money toaster. Very reasonably priced, quality product from ALDI

You get what you pay for! – I have not had any problems with the Maison Toaster however I don't use it day in day out. Generally I think that you get what you pay for so if you're looking for high quality performance you're going to have to dip into the wallet a bit deeper and buy a high quality product. What is driving me nuts about this product is that I simply cannot get… Read more

the removable crumb tray to release and there doesn't seem to be any directions as to how to achieve this....so whilst I haven't had any electrical blackouts I am verging on the edge of madness, threatening a toaster with certain 'dumpster death' if it doesn't give up the crumb tray by the next time I use it! inexpensive damned crumb tray won't release!!!

Avoid – Thistoaster will cause a short and so lead to a blackout. You have to go to your power board and reset. I has a similar experienxce with an Aldi kettle and called an electician. Now I know how to deal with a short but Aldi appliances are just not worth it. cheap it causes a short circuit and a blackout.
