Does the job well ... until it doesn't. Broke down after 18 months. Cheap construction and not made to last. Returned for a refund. Show details

Amazing Pizzas! – Fantastic! Cooks like a dream. Done in 15mins and just like a wood oven. Electronic interface is easy to navigate. Im testing doing pizza nights in my cafe and so far customers are super happy. Show details
Great Buy – Excellent Pizza Oven, especially for the price. States 400° but realistically gets to 325°. The longer you let it heat up, the hotter it gets. Does 12 inch pizzas. I wish it did bigger, but you can do 2 or 3 prety fast. Mine failed after 4 months with E2 as the error code. I called Aldi Customer Service and they were prety helpful. They alled me… Read more
back and said it was a therm-sensor fault. Bring it in and get your money back because we dont repair that item and have none left. These things happen. Thumbs Up.
Aldi Sterling Pizza Oven UPDATE – UPDATE : I have cooked a few pizzas in the oven now and am quite happy with the results, so I sold my Gozney Roccbox because of the black soot issue that formed around the oven opening after every pizza session. I haven’t seen that happening on the Ooni but don’t know for sure if it has the same issue. But it doesn’t happen with my Sterling… Read more · 1
pizza oven. The attached photo was last nights pizza cooked in the Sterling. Since writing this review I have also bought an Ooni Koda 12 and a Breville Pizzaiolo . The Ooni had a much cleaner flame and there was no soot left on the oven after cooking. Like the Gozney the Ooni easily heated up to over 500 deg.C. The Breville like the Sterling only reaches 400 deg.C but I found that is the ideal temperature for all the pizzas I want to cook. I think the Sterling is a $339 Aldi take on the Breville and has some features that the $1000 Breville doesn’t have. The Sterling has an internal light and is much lighter than the Breville but the Breville is all stainless steel, where the Sterling has some stainless steel but is mostly zinc plated mild steel. I have kept the Breville Pizzaiolo as my only pizza oven now and have sold the Ooni Koda 12 and regrettably the Sterling as my wife said I couldn’t have the Breville and the Sterling. The only reason why I kept the Breville was the build quality and the belief that the Breville being 3 times the price of the Sterling should last longer. I bought the Sterling on Sale at Aldi for $139 and the Breville on Marketplace for $300 so I thought I couldn’t go wrong and I do like the convenience of electric pizza ovens.
Very happy!! Good value & a great beginners pizza oven – Definitely does what a home oven can't in regards to cooking pizza... It gets proper hot (400°C) and will do a Neapolitan "style" pizza in about 4 mins. Can't quite get the proper char on the crust but for $200 I can't complain! Could also be my average Joe Neapolitan skills. Any other pizza style cooks really well + faster and better than the… Read more
home oven. Will do a 12" pizza maximum size. Decent internal height clearance about 75mm with the stone in. Upper ( 3 horizontal bars) & lower (6 horizontal bars on 2 levels) heating elements. Removable standard round pizza stone so you could use a steel or a pan directly on the rack instead. The air fryer function works fine but air fryers are rubbish anyway. Grill function works well as I did cheese on toast. Comes with a 12" round pan, peel, cutter, 12" stone & air fryer basket. A pain to clean if you drop bits o' pizza etc. in the oven. Not the best design but it's built to a price. Easy to use digital dial and settings. Pizza styles are preset programs but you can adjust the temp / time. The instruction manual is almost useless so just jump in and give it a go. Best advice I can give is to preheat and think of it as a small normal oven that gets super hot if you want it to! I've used it quite a few times and very happy with it considering it was about $200 with a 3 yr warranty in Australia.
Aldi Sterling STR-PO400 Pizza Oven – After reading the first two reviews on this pizza oven, which were both positive, I decided to go back to the Mentone Aldi to buy one as it had been reduced from $225 down to $179 . I was very happy to find that it had been reduced further down to $139. I had recently bought a Gozney Roccbox which I was still trying to master and was not… Read more
impressed with all the soot that formed around the opening whilst heating the oven to 500 deg C. Once cooled down Roccbox requires extra soot cleaning and occasional refilling of the gas bottle compared to the simple connection to a standard PowerPoint and a wipe with a damp cloth for the Sterling. The Sterling gets to a temperature of just over 400 deg C and that was hot enough for cooking the pizza I make and it took about 4 minutes to cook the pizza which suited me. I definitely would recommend this pizza oven.
Delivers the heat as advertised – Got this not thinking that it was going to be any good but figured there's a 30 day guarantee - Tried to make a pizza and was pleasantly surprised at the results. Definitely can't get this amount of heat in a home oven. This has a round 12" pizza stone and thats the largest pizza you'll be able to make; I think realistically you'll struggle to… Read more
make pizzas larger than 10".
For the price I would jump at the deal, however, a couple of things to note: You need to run the oven empty the first time to burn off any residue from the factory - it does smell a bit so do it in a ventilated area. This comes with a pizza peel but it's pretty basic; it does the job but not great for launching and not great for turning. The pizza cutter that comes with the oven is a toy - but you get these things in the box so you can start making pizzas. The cooking area is small and its easy for ingredients to drop to the bottom of the oven - there is a removable crumb tray, but it warps and isn't very good. The oven is small and it's difficult to clean the inside. The 400 degrees mode has a max timer of 10 minutes once it warms to temperature, it then shuts off, you can restart it again and keep cooking, but this is annoying. The instruction booklet is all over the place, you get the idea of what's going on but it can be confusing. Edit: It's easy to lose the pizza to the bottom of the oven with this due to the design, especially with the provided pizza peel, this is a bit annoying as it creates a fire hazard and you can't retrieve the pizza easily.
Considering this is playing against the Ooni Volt and the Breville Pizzaiolo, which are 4 to 5 times the price, this performs pretty well.
Stirling Pizza Oven – What a great little Pizza Oven. Initially, I wanted to build a woodfired Pizza oven, but neither had the skills or time. So I purchased this great-looking quality built Stirling Pizza Oven ( with built-in AIr Fryer capabilities) at ALDI's. It's beautiful looking and very capable of cooking your Pizza within minutes. This little oven cooks a decent pizza in around 5-10 MINUTES It does everything I wanted in an Oven. HIghly recomended Show details
Pizzeria Style Pizza at home in minutes!!!!!! AMAZING! – I purchased the Aldi Stirling STR-PO400 Pizza Oven for my kitchen thinking maybe it would be a massive mistake as i have had a few issues with this brand in the past, but was pleasantly surprised at each and every pizza that i have cooked in this well made appliance. I am not a pizza chef by any means but this appliance makes me look like one. … Read more
Simple instruction book that was easy to follow. Being an oven, i would recommend plugging this into a dedicated power point and don't walk away from this when cooking on woodfire mode because its super fast..... Similar ovens in other brands would cost alot more. This is all you need to make amazing pizzas for birthdays, movie nights and fuss free cooking nights. Highly recommended.
