suggest to hard wire the unit in place due to anomalies and variations in quality of cig lighter sockets on various cars. So luckily in my case, the unit is hard wired into the fuse panel (20A), and it works perfectly. I do mention the ciggie lighter recommendation because I can see that this could definitely be a problem with its 10amp draw. I actually had a minor problem where the power indicator LED stopped working. I contacted the Travel Buddy guys and they had a little kit available to get this fixed, inclusive of extra insulation to try and keep the LED a bit cooler to increase its lifespan. So the LED's back up and working. Great product, great after sales support (Darren's a great bloke) and very proud to be the owner of something made in Australia - sadly getting harder to find.

The Gozney Dome is the best off the shelf pizza oven option you can buy right now. I have had mine for about a year now and I really can’t fault it.… Read more
I did a lot of searching and even considered building (or having build) a brick oven but I’m really happy that I went with the Gozney Dome in the end.
Pros: - Extremely easy to setup and use - Versatile (gas or wood) - Lots of accessories - Great community - High build quality
Cons: - Doesn’t come with a turning peel - No stone temperature reading - White (bone) takes a bit of cleaning (see photos) - Enamel paint coating is thin and easily scratched
I have had this oven for about a year now and have been really happy with it. I considered a bunch of off the shelf options including the Ooni, Everdure kiln and Witt but kept coming back to the Gozney for the specs and overall versatility of the product. I felt like the Dome was going to give me the option to do more like baking, roasting etc… and while I did like the rotating floor and under stone heat of the Kiln I just felt like it didn’t have the same build quality and more moving parts means more to break.
Now that I own it, I have never looked back or regretted my decision. A rotating floor is a gimmick and entirely unnecessary. The Dome is exactly what I hoped it would be and I have loved having the option to play with wood with the convenience of gas. I’ll often use wood on the weekend but stick to gas when time is a bit tighter or when entertaining so that I’m not constantly wondering and checking.
I can highly recommended the Mantle accessory (reviewed separately) and getting a turning peel is a must.
This is the one honest ‘con’ about the product. I really feel that it should have come with at least a simple peel so that you can get to making pizzas straight out of the box. I would happily see them include a peel and make the 2 meat probes a paid accessory.
Finally they definitely forgot, or didn’t have the tech to put in a stone/floor thermometer which is critical, meaning that you’ll need to get a laser thermometer (which they sell) to make sure your stone is hot enough. If you just wait for the Chamber temp to hit 450C you’ll likely have soft bases because you need that hot stone to cook your dough. *All of the newer models (Arc and Dome Gen 2) now have stone temp indicators which is great.
As always with my reviews, I don’t get into the cost much as everyone’s impression of expensive varies. I will say that I felt this was good value for money at the end of the day.
Pro tip: Be careful when taking off the flu cap or when removing the cover if you have it as the ceramic pain can easily scratch or chip if you knock it over (also just don’t use the flu cap if you have the cover cause you’ll constantly knock the cap off and it’ll scratch the oven.)

It delivers incredible performance—heats up quickly, reaches high temperatures with ease, and produces consistently amazing pizzas. The larger cooking surface is a real advantage, giving you more space to turn and manage your pizzas, especially when cooking for a group. Every pizza comes out with a crispy base, perfectly melted toppings.
What makes it even better is how easy it is to use. The gas setup is super convenient, so you can focus on enjoying the cooking experience rather than managing the heat.
The only reason I moved on from the Koda 16 was to upgrade to the Pro model—not because anything was lacking. It’s a testament to how good it is that I stuck with Ooni when upgrading.
If you’re looking for a high-quality, reliable pizza oven, the Koda 16 is an excellent choice and I’d recommend it without hesitation.

Context: family of 4, decent backyard space, family loves good quality home-made pizza, I've been using the kitchen oven for 2-3 years now and pizza is good, but I was ready for the upgrade. I have been a long-time lurker trying to find the best value pizza oven, and I think I found it.
Pros: 1) The 13" size feels roomy and comfortable to work with. I compared it side-by-side with other models in-store and preferred the larger cooking area. 2) Build quality and packaging feel premium for the price. 3) Door design makes setup and heat retention easy. 4) Stone reached around 420°C in about 15–20 minutes with the door closed. Very fast cooking time; pizzas cook in roughly 1–2 minutes compared to 10–12 minutes in a regular oven. 5) Pizza results were excellent: crispy base, bubbly crust, leopard spotting, and evenly cooked toppings. 6) Easy to clean: once cooled, I simply used my ozito blower to blow away food debris. No washing needed. 7) Great for family pizza nights; everyone loved the experience.
Cons (imo): 1) No pizza peel included, so you’ll need to buy one separately. 2) No turning peel, which i highly recommended for easier rotation during cooking, so the pizza doesnt burn. 3) Requires an LCC27 (“black valve”) gas bottle; worth checking before setup if you’re new to gas appliances. 4) You’ll want a sturdy outdoor table or bench for safe use. 5) Cooking large batches for parties takes some practice, especially managing stone temperature between pizzas.
Overall: Excellent value for money compared to premium brands out there. Perfect for pizza lovers, families, and anyone wanting proper restaurant-style pizza at home without spending a fortune. Highly recommended if you’ll use it regularly.

temperature and the stone temperature is predictable, with maximum heat to the rear and minimum heat to the front of the oven. This means that baking the pizza is relatively simple-bake the pizza for approximately half the allotted time then rotate it 180 degrees for the remaining time. Much simpler and requiring less skill than for gas and woodfired pizza ovens. The maximum temperature is 500 degrees celsius which was a big selling point for me, as competitors in a similar price range tend to have 450 degrees celsius as their maximum. From video reviews I have seen they only have Cordierite stones which burn the pizza bases at top temperature. Argheri have solved that problem by having both Cordierite stones (for temperatures under 450 degrees celsius) and Biscotto stones which burn (for temperatures above 450 degrees celsius) available for the Ziola. I had never made a pizza before purchasing the Ziola but have found it quite easy to produce pizza of a good standard. The Ziola is also I think, a lovely thoughtful design, with its curved rear and soft corners, with a slight bulge to the top. It looks like a pizza oven as opposed to just an oven. Chris from Argheri has also been more than helpful with questions (more about pizza dough than the Ziola!). I highly recommend the Ziola.

this was a considerably cheaper option. This oven sits on top of an ordinary gas bbq. It has a temp gauge on the top stating if oven is warm, ideal or hot. Make sure it stays in the ideal mode other wise pizza will cook too fast and burn. Sometimes the gas has to be turned off to regulate temp. Depending on thickness of base cooking times vary. With this oven we tend to have pizza quite regularly. Not the same taste as wood fired but better than using stove oven, we just love it. 5/9/2023 victorias basement has oven for $89 with free postage. Would recommend.

to cook but can't because of the limits on a regular house oven. This oven delivers even temperature all round so saves having to constantly turn the pizza like you would in a gas oven. It is a well presented oven with LED lights and rotational nobs for ease of use. It has a triple glass door which helps keep even temperatures and prevents heat loss. It also has a stainless steel interior. This oven takes 15 to 20 minutes to heat up and you can alter the heat to make the stone hotter or the top of the oven due to having both a top element and another under the stone on the bottom. With pre-programmed cooking modes for Neapolitan, New York, Detroit style, Thin & Crispy, even Frozen pizza and if you prefer to take control there is a manual mode that lets you customise the temperature and top/bottom heat balance for flawless results. You can also air fry and bake in the oven but I am yet to try these options. This oven is made for indoors and outdoors and for under $600 (at the time of writing) you really can't go wrong.

If you want to get a little more serious with your pizza making and cooking skills this is a pretty good way to step up your game. At least the cooking part. This doesn't make pizza dough. This oven's design emulates how a traditional pizza oven works. Stone cooking surface, shaped to make the flame flow over the top of the pizza and heat up the oven properly, all clothed in a modern, great looking design that's reasonably portable. The glass door and the oven thermometer are additional modern touches to enhance the experience. Once up to heat this oven cooks pizza beautifully. Read the instructions carefully. Watch videos of the oven in use. These will help you to get a great cooking experience. If you don't and just bung in a pizza you're not going to be very impressed. This is not an automated, no-brain experience, you need to understand how the oven cooks and the cooking process and be patient. If you can't be bothered, don't waste your money, just call Dominos. Ooni recommends getting an infra-red thermometer gun to check the stone temperature. You can get by fine without one. Once the thermometer reaches recommended temperature, keep heating for another 10 mins that will ensure stone temperature has caught up, as the thermometer only records ambient temp, not stone temp. Ooni advertises that the oven can cook a pizza in 60s or so. That's largely true when all the temperatures are at recommended but like any cooking process variables such as your pizza dough, etc play a part - in a nutshell though, this cooks a pizza very quickly. With practice you can get a pizza out that looks like restaurant quality. Puffy crust, perfectly cooked base, bubbling cheese and the 'leopard spot' charring. Again, your dough making skills play a bit part here.
The oven is heavy, fully assembled. If you need to move it, take the stones out first, that makes it much easier to move. The top and side surfaces get real hot but there's not much heat emanating from the bottom (can quite safely put your hand/arm under the oven gap with the table) which means you don't need to sit the oven on a heatproof surface. Just something solid is fine. The gas burner accessory fits into the back of the oven. It's easily removable for wood-burning. A less than ideal design choice was to make the burner control at the back of the oven making it somewhat awkward to manage heat control by having to walk around to the back, and you then can't see the flame level from back there - unless you lift up the rear hatch. There's some serious heat coming out of the chimney so if you set up on a covered porch/deck, be aware of how much heat is hitting your porch ceiling. You might need to set up out from under cover. Although it's an outdoor unit, consider buying the cover - yes, more money but it will help protect the unit from the weather when not in use, after all this isn't cheap oven. Customer service - excellent. We purchased directly off the Ooni website and accidently purchased an extra gas hose and Ooni customer support resolved that quickly and nicely. We then had a problem with the burner not staying alight. Again, excellent service and the issue was resolved quickly. NOTE it looks like there's a new model out which appears to replace this model with very similar look but updated touches. Not yet available on the AU website.

tripping off at the protection device on the units plug. This was intermittent and happened on high temps and low temps.
Was doing a low n slow cut of meat and it tripped of 4 times throughout the cook and had to finish it in the oven.
Contacted Ninja Australia to determine the warranty process and they immediately tried to blame my electrical installation.
The unit was plugged into a circuit with 20A RCBO and that never tripped, only the protection device on the Ninja plug would trip.
They advised I should have an electrician install an automatic voltage regulator installed by an electrician! Not once did they offer warranty support or a replacement, just blamed my electrical installation for the issue.
I advised I would be raising the matter to the Office of Fair Trading and they then said they’d offer a replacement IF I had an electrician complete an inspection of my electrical installation first!
There’s a reason the protection device on the plug was tripping and not my RCBO, because the fault was within their product, yet they want me spending money unnecessarily!
I ended up returning the product to the Good Guys who were fantastic and had no issues providing me a full refund on the faulty product as I told them I did not want a replacement because I don’t want to have to deal with their customer support team ever again, nor will I buy a Ninja or Shark product ever again!
Their customer support was atrocious and if I could, I’d give zero stars!

have to use the 'paddle' to get the pizza on the pizza stone, but there isn't much room to get it in the oven. The dough got stuck to the paddle and would not 'slide' off into the oven. The whole experience was messy and not what I expected. There are important safeguards to follow , cleaning instructions and heating instructions but there are absolutley no instructions on how to prepare and cook the pizza. They do say put the pizza in the middle of the stone, which is pretty near impossible. When I did get the pizza into the oven the top burnt very quickly and the bottom was still doughy and was really hard to move off the stone. Eventually the bottom cooked, but the top was black. Also when I did get the pizza off the paddle and onto he pizza stone, some of the ingredients on the pizza fell onto the stone and they burnt quickly and filled the kitchen with smoke. I couldn't do anything as I had to wait for the pizza to finish burning, I mean finish cooking. i.e. you cant remove the stone to clean up while the oven is on or the stone is hot. This one is going in the bin as it just does not work very well. I tried to call customer service at Lennox, but that was another wasted non-answered customer service call. Overall, my suggestion is DONT buy this type of oven as they are not fit for purpose.
