Want to know what type of spark plug can be use?

It is a push mower, it doesn't have an engine so no spark plug.

Sorry Boggo but I purchased this as a gift and am unable to help with your enquiry. I can only suggest that you search the Al-Ko website for maintenance instructions.

My al ko soft touch 380 has been wonderfull and easy to push until the last 3 mows ( I mow once a week) and all of a sudden the blades are now choking up with grass and the wheels won't turn on some of the grass. I am getting frustrated as it has been a pleasure to use until now.

What do I need to do?

Hello Tony, Thank you for your question and im it has been a pleasure to use. Your problem can often be solved quite simply by adjusting the cutting distance between the blade and the mowing frame. This should be set to 0.05mm (roughly the thickness of a piece of paper).

Failure to ensure that this is adjusted correctly may result in the blade jamming or uncut grass being caught between the mowing cylinder and the frame.

In order to adjust the gap, please refer to page the of the operating instructions located here: external link

Kind regards,

I'd also honestly suggest cleaning, make sure for example there isn't any long fibrous stuff wound around the wheels mechanisms that might be slowing the spin. Also cleaning any dead grass clippings from the reel and cutter blade. I know on mine if I've mown damp I need to hose it off after.

What is the height of the handle bar of this Alko? As we're rather tall I want to find this out before buying.

My husband is 6'2" and he has no trouble with the height of the bar, it is approx. 4ft in height from the ground but as you can lay it over and vary the angle I also am easily able to push it and I am only 4'11" tall. I hope this helps you. K.

From ground to top of the handle, the height is 1.2m. I am 5'11" and must admit I do find it a little short but not enough for it to be a problem nor would it prevent me from purchasing another AL-KO. Hope this is of help to you.
