We bought the Gladiator version of this (what it was renamed), in May 2024. It wasn't delivered until August 2024. is now July 2025, and we are still being told that they are waiting for parts. The only action that has been taken is the contractor offered to come out and try to close them. He managed to close one but not the other. We are thankful for that. He did say he gets called out to work on this model a lot. This has been very disappointing and we will never buy from Amart again due to them continuing to sell an obviously faulty product and their absolutely terrible customer service.
I don't know what's worse, the furniture or their service – I bought this corner suite in January 2020, by mid 2021 the springs had gone and foam cushions had no support in them at all and several of the backrests were loose. replacement, I put in another warranty claim, it took them 2 months to send out someone to assess it, and another 3 months to decide to do something about it. By this stage, they've told me that the lounge can't be repaired due to lack of parts, so they offered me $513 as a token refund (and wave any and all remaining warranty rights) or the option to choose a 'reselection', however as the Spartacus is now discontinued (superseded by the Gladiator) they refused to replace the item directly and will only allow me to choose something up to the original purchase price... there are no semi-decent corner suites for anywhere close to the price I paid 3.5 years ago.

My latest quest to have our lounge repaired has been very frustrating as now Amart pay contractors to repair which the contractors keep saying they are waiting on parts. But nobody has been out to physically to view it just looked at my photos i sent in. Amart is trying to avoid both replacing or repairing our lounge even though we have the 10 year Guarantee. I have noticed that Amart has made the exact same lounge but obviously with better mechanisms & seating foam after all the problems they had with the SPARTACUS Lounge… BUT to get away with not having to replace our faulty lounge they have coincidentally changed the name of it to the GLADIATOR now. I have been going back & fourth with Amart for over a month now to get my lounge repaired. Because the SPARTACUS lounge has been “discontinued” Amart are not offering a replacement & they seem to also be trying to avoid a repair. It’s not over….. Soooooo frustrating! I have reported to ACCC. Next social media news.

repair of the recliner mechanism & disintegrated foam on the seat. Using the reclining action was like cracking bones & when the seating foam disintegrated we would be sitting on the wood frame. We noticed these faults almost immediately & reported them to Amart & they were amazing in sending out someone to repair. Since then the same problems have kept coming back. Horrific - Should have read the reviews on here before buying – We bought the DARK GREY - SPARTACUS - 3 Seater Sofa from AMART and for the first few months were very happy. After about 6 months we noticed that the padding started to diminish and you could feel the springs through the seat. a year later. On this occasion AMART technician said it was now classed as wear and tear and this is the repsonse from AMART via email "Thank you for taking the time to advise of the issue you are experiencing with your product.

In this case, the issue you have identified is not the result of a manufacturing defect in accordance with our Quality Guarantee. Therefore, your claim has been declined and we are unable to proceed any further in this matter"
They say they ensure excellent customer service but then do nothing - that isn't excellent customer service as described!! We have 10 year warranty which essentially means zero it seems!!
Please read these reviews and avoid AMART and their cheap products and zero year warranty that they hand out
The most comfortable lounge ever! – I’ve had 2 one seaters and a 3 seater for 4 years now. It’s like seating on a cloud. Nothing else compares. Quality is amazing. After 4 years of very heavy usage and eating all our meals on it, it still looks, works and feels new. Spartacus lounge renamed "Gladiator' – The Spartacus 3 piece lounge has been renamed Gladiator due to the ongoing faults and a bad name. Because of this Amart has not upheld their manufactures guarantee and warranty. My lounge will not be replaced and is less than 2 years old. All mechanisms are bent/faulty and cushioning has deteriorated. I have to settle for a repair using the same faulty mechanisms and cushioning. Never will I spend another 5 cents in this shop. The most disappointed lounge, we have ever purchased in 45 years – The foam has collapsed on the arms and at the top of chairs and it is only 6months old. The mechanical side of it is very hard to close the recliner. Amart had sent their lounge doctor to check it out and he said there is nothing wrong with it. Show details
Comfy and nice for the first 6 months only – This was so nice in the store. I had stored it for 18 months and now its had 12 months use. Uncomfortable, needs a pillow behind your back otherwise the wood corner is uncomfortable. Has a gap in the middle and the material seat join has opened up. felt through. I have the cup holder twin chairs with recliner also and its lopsided badly and very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this lounge especially for a family or daily use.
Do not buy. Poor quality – Amart has been great with the after sales service but we have had to have this lounge repaired twice. And now the material is ripped. Excellent, comfortable affordable recliner – Comfortable affordable recliner. Very easy and quick to collect. Would recommend to anyone looking for a recliner. The leg rest is comfortable and easy to put up and down and the cushioning is nice. Has a 10 year warranty and also came with a 5 year cleaning protection as well. Great value for money. Show details
Super amart spartacus lounge. stitching has undone and its noticeable in-between the squares and I believe im careful with all my furniture but this is dodgy as it comes. We noticed when it was delivered a bolt was found from it ( I dont have a clue where from) I write this review after seeing the thousands and thousands of terrible reviews on fb from customers and someone pointed out that its reviews are 5⭐ so be warned super amart Spartacus is CRAP %100
Awful couch - don’t bother – I purchased this couch from Amart Furniture. In 5 years I’ve had it fixed 3 times, and now the warranty is out, they won’t even fix it. The recliners always break, the foam doesn’t hold shape and falls out the bottom of it. The comfort has gone completely. Don’t bother buying this couch! Show details
Spartacus three-piece recliner – I have a Spartacus three-piece recliner lounge suite, made 2015. The couch it’s self has fallen apart in the middle, there now is a huge gap in the couch and sites lopsided, Can any one assist please. I am very disappointed with product
