AOC Q27P1

Horrific picture quality – Overly bright I could not get it comfortable to look at, fiddled with settings and read forums but didn't find any solution. I could not read text with this monitor it just was not comprehendible without zooming in a lot. It lacked sharpness. I did contact the seller but seemed unconcerned with my experience. I eventually gave up on it with less than 50hrs of use and now sits next to my computer desk. I had to take a break from looking at monitors as this one made my eyes so sore and gave me head aches.

Good price to value monitor – This monitor is very good for it's particular price to value the brightness is nice and the panel is also good but not the best which is to be expected

Why be so cheap with the little things – I just bought an AOC Q27P1. It is probably a quality build, and once setup, I'll no doubt live with it for a long time, but outside of this, I am disappointed in issues that with product development, could be so easily overcome, and make me have second thoughts about the quality of AOC in the first place, so did I get that wrong? First, the OSD (On Screen Display) is very badly constructed, it only has 2 or three important panels each very small and have to be navigated back and forth using buttons on the display that are so poorly designed your fingers keep getting the wrong one and you have to start again, UUUGGGHHHH!! I could have designed these buttons and OSD in my sleep way better without any technical knowledge.

Why can't all the options be put on a single pane so you can see the ones reset when you choose another and not have to continually navigate back and forth between panes.

Why can't the buttons be separated by 1 or 2 mm or embossed so your fingers can distinguish them as you slide back and forth with all this unnecessary navigation?

Second,they offer, brag about in their product presentation, and supply on a disk with the product, some software called i-Menu, an app meant to replace the OSD so you can set the monitors options with the mouse on the screen, well this is a real load of cheap useless rubbish, the version on the supplied disc is way out of date, and the version downloaded from the website isn't much of an improvement.

These are things that are immediately experienced by a new customer, and after hours of stuffing around, I can only wonder if the electronics we can't evaluate is likewise shoddy?

I guess eye strain, which is why I bought this monitor, will eventually tell me.
