time and money ( I got ripped of once) looking for a cheap second hand one but there’s no such thing cheapest guaranteed to get what you’re buying is to go through an Apple store.So I decided to get a brand new one for myself (my first brand new out the box Apple item) and I was fortunate enough to be able to receive a education discount from Apple it was a really good saving and absolutely no hassle to get it you may be asked to provide proof that you’re a student but most times you will not have to show anything. I paid $549 rose gold wi-fi only iPad mini 4 it a great tablet and I know I’ll get my money’s worth out of it Apple iPads a never glitchy like other brands can be you get the best quality pictures clear as day I honestly think phones and tablets by Apple a just superb and superior to other brands ok iPad mini 4 is lighter then previous mini iPads and must be a little longer as it won’t fit in a iPad mini 1, 2, 3 case so make sure you look at that when buying a case for you’re mini 4 you’ll never be sorry if you get s case and tempered screen accidents can happen so easily and it’s the only bad thing about phones not just Apple is that really they are kinda a fragile so protection is the key hey if you’re ruff on you're ph or iPad you can get heavy duty cases that screw on covering every inch of you’re ph they tend to be a bit bulky but you’re device is safe. Colour does not change the price of an iPad from Apple (but does on eBay) they are all the same price and the colour is you’re choice you also get to choose the gig u would like and for $549 I got 128gig also comes in two or three lower amounts of gig which in turn makes prices cheaper (I’ll put in a price list at end of review) 128gig is an awesome amount I also got apple care $at the moment it is $69 I paid $99 it is a type of insurance for you’re device it covers two accidental breaks and any manufacturer malfunction a small fee of $60 is to be sent with you’re device which is s lot better then $200 and a void warranty just to get some person you don’t know toA) have only their word that they can do it B)these sorts of ppl tend to be backyard jobs PLEASE don’t send you’re ph to rip of bac yard jobs that charge top dollar it’s easy to pull screws out and things apart but you really got to know what u are doing legit businesses ok enquirer on if they have some sort of warranty or what’s best to do is send ur device bac to Apple experts to fix for you result happy device happy iPad user love apple products thanks

After doing a little bit of research, it seemed that the best tablet available to suit my needs was an iPad Mini. The screen size (7.9") and quality was good (enough), battery was top in class and it generally seemed to tick all the right boxes. I didn't really want to get a cheap(er) Android tablet as they all seemed to be really low end and would probably cause me hassle in future, or just didn't appeal. So yes, i paid the Apple premium, but sometimes you just want things to work.

Have to say, happy with my purchase as it does everything i needed it to. I now do my reading on my iPad, check my emails and watch youtube every now and then. All from the lazy comfort of my bed/couch. Battery is great, needing to be charged every 2nd or 3rd day (with my usage). Size and weight is comfortable in hand and easy to carry around. Downloaded a few games (like Sim City) to pass the time when i want a break from reading or just to kill time.

Because of the lightweight size and great battery life, sometimes when i go out, i bring it along as it's just a nicer experience to have a larger screen to do simple tasks and it doesn't take up much space. I didn't buy a screen protector, so I've scratched the screen a little, so i probably should look to invest in something soon. But the iPad mini is solid and durable besides.

The only "negative" thing i found are that good accessories are actually hard to find for this - i wanted a protective case that also had an adjustable stand (for lazy handsfree movie watching). Nothing good on the market - the previous generation of iPad minis had a really good selection.

Happy to recommend and would buy again should the need arise.

I bought the 128GB Wifi (only) version as i didn't want the inconvenience of running out of storage later down the track and didn't need the cellular function (as it was mostly a device to be used at home).

Such a confusing un-intuitive time waster – I bought 2 mini 2s, one for each child as they were going to use them at school. I can't believe how much time I spend, upgrading, installing, and typing in my password. 2 hours this morning. Such a pain for time poor people like me. seconds. Wifi sync only works occasionally so I've given up using it all together. iTunes is so flaky, it was in the middle of upgrading the OS to 10.0.2 and told me the update was available to be installed... what? I was installing it a that exact moment! The update also hung and the "plug into iTunes" screen came up on the iPad. I kept plugging and unplugging and nothing happened. I had reboot my computer and restore the iPad.

My experience has turned me completely off any iPad/iPhone/Apple Watch. I've had three android phones and an android tablet before, I've never lost confidence in any of them.

Lightweight and great for Youtube/Netflix – Despite being an older tablet, there's still a lot of desire for something this small. Yes, Apple has started making phones that are pretty much this size, but the Mini 4 comes with a lot of storage and a much cheaper price tag. Show details

This is the best IPAD ever – I upgraded from an IPAD2 which was working perfectly after 2 years. I can't be happier than this. a big giant phone that doesn't make calls – To be honest I don't find this particularly useful. I purchased it to have a portable device at work/conferences and for travel. I do use it when travelling because it's a good size to use on the plane but I wouldn't say it's worth purchasing the device just for that, unless you travel constantly. it protects it well from the boys. It never freezes and handles a huge amount of games, apps, movies we have on there. Its function ability is excellent and we find it handles any game we put on it. Another thing that sold us on buying the ipad, is if the school did smash, which it hasn't yet. It is affordable to get replaced and there seems to be many shops that offer it. In comparison the samsung school replacement is expensive and not as many stores offer the replacement screen. I would definitely look at buying an ipad again when needed. I cannot actually fault this item in any way.

Great present for mom – Bought this iPad for my mom as a birthday gift as she's not too tech savvy but at the same time have bills to be paid online. Like the iOS interface because it's user friendly and straightforward. I like mini better – I prefer the mini size to the normal flat plate. When traveling, when the phone screen is not large enough to carry a notebook computer inconvenient. Mini is a good choice. Great Machine – I mainly use my tablet for studies and videos and it works perfectly. It's size make it really portable so much so that it usually ends up in my handbag or clutch. It has been battered and dropped and has held up really well considering there is no case, it's all still in one piece and the screen in tact too. Great Device! – I use the tablet just for browsing the internet, checking emails and downloading apps and playing games. The apps work very well and ipad is very easy to use. Very lightweight and easy to handle, right size to able to take anywhere.
