Didn't have a problem, until I did – I have two of these bottles, they were handy, until I went to use them, and found some white substance on the inside of the rim which contaminates the contents

A safe choice! – High grade stainless steel and 100% BPA free - so when I put water into my bottle that's all I will get out of my bottle. So it's a safe choice and not only that it's super cute - It has a high gloss finish red with white polka dots. Only wish I could have gotten the same finish in the larger size. Stylish and good for you Small bottle - couldn't get the polka dot bottle in a larger size.
