Arista Brilcon 34cm Induction Cooktop

Brilcon electric cooktop – Do NOT buy anything in this brand and from the seller called Electrodirect on Ebay. In short do not buy anything from Ebay as they have no guaranty support. We bring our broken stove after 4 months used to them and no response, we bring to consumer trading and they said no contactable of the company. Funny things is they are still have the website and still trading and yet the consumer office could not locate them. Very disappointed in the way the consumer trading protecting the consumer and let those scam company robbing people of legally.

Don't buy peices if black metal breaking off in food oven only 5 years old – Faulty oven black metal prices keep breaking off in food . Hazard do not buy this product. Contacted company no response. Will never buy or recommend this brand to anyone at all

A premium cooktop at a budget price...but beware – This cooktop is the type that needs to be installed. It has a 16A bare lead that looks serious. The surface finish is quite good and it feels like a premium cooktop. The touch controls are quite responsive. It is quiet and does not buzz loudly or "sing" like some lower quality induction cooktops. It has fans for cooling and they come on immediately on use. However we fitted this into the kitchen island benchtop and the fan noise cannot be heard from outside the cabinet.

Been working great so far....

Pros: - Price - Price - Price - Ceramic Top surface is quite durable - Flush fit to benchtop - Perfect for a small kitchen / off grid setup

Cons: - Unknown brandname (uncertainty) - Item failed after 3 months of use.

UPDATE: When the unit is left on (at isolation switch) after a few hours it "locks up" and you have to reset the unit by cycling power to it!

I am going to arrange for warranty to replace it but the pain is that it has been flush fitted to the benchtop with silicone seal and that will all have to be removed and then redone! Arrrrgh!
