Need reading glasses for controls – I returned this unit as it was faulty . It just did not want to heat up irrespective of settings when installed. Second and most importantly, the controls when turned on are so small, I needed my reading glasses to use them. I enjoy my cooking and could foresee the stresses of having glasses next to me for cooking not to mention the other complex… Read more

settings on the panel. That was the deal breaker even though I was offered a replacement for the faulty one. Then there would be the additional cost of reinstalling by a certified electrician. I have a Bosch pyrolytic oven and wanted a Bosch induction cook top to kind of match up. Sadly that wont be happening as they all seem to have the same controls layout. I have since purchased an IKEA unit that is so simple to use, no complexities with easy to read controls and half the price !!

Great induction cooktop – After returning 2 units from another manufacturer, we decided not to try a third time and instead upgraded to Bosch. We are very happy we did. This cooktop works perfectly! The functions are logical and easy. They’ve spent time getting it right as you’d expect from German engineering. This is our first Bosch product but I don’t think it will be our last. Show details ·  1

Pretty good. Be careful not to damage the glass – First time using induction. It’s a pleasure to use. Heating is faster than conventional electric, almost as good as gas. Easy to keep clean. Spillage dripping or splash during cooking onto the glass doesn’t burn on, because the glass is not hot (except a little due to heating back from the pan/pot). Have to learn the style of the controls,… Read more ·  1

but it wasn’t too bad.

All existing pots had to go, as they had thin bottoms. It is hard to find induction large pots in ordinary shops. Most heavy base frypans worked, but wok style frypans perform poorly as heat is only delivered into the flat bottom, the sides are cold. Woks are really meant for gas. I am slowly getting used to the heat setting versus cooking level correlation. 2-3-4-5 all seem very similar, and then 6-7-8-9 produces a rapid power increase corresponding to “medium-low” to “high”. I guess that it depends heavily on the pot/pan.

Beware dropping things, like glass salt and pepper grinders. This cracked the glass, which was nearly $800 to have repaired. I suggest not keeping hard things like that above the glass top. Ease of service, and service quality better than other brands.

We are gradually shifting the all appliances Bosch.

Great German made product – This induction cooktop is very easy to use, even for the more advanced function (we use a lot the pre-set of cooking time before going away, and it stops by itself). It works really good and at a really good price for a German made quality. We also found many more pots working with this one than our previous Miele induction cooktop, this was bonus. No need to go for more expensive brands, you get nothing more.  Show details ·  1

Excellent cooktop very versatile – A great cooktop and with its combinable dual zone is very adaptable for large dishes. Is much faster to cook with than our old F& P in our previous house. Cant go past Bosch for quality and value for money Would recommend this to anyone thinking about an induction cooktop. Be aware you need steel bottom pots as copper bottoms wont work We bought Estelle which are marvelous.  Show details ·  1

Cooking with gas? No thanks, I'd rather have Induction Power! – This cooktop is amazing - the induction system just works so well to cook things super fast, or at a nice slow simmer with plenty of variation in between. Cooking is now just so effortless - no longer do we pre-boil water for pasta, or have to wait for a pan to heat up so we can start cooking or stir frying, or fiddle with knobs to try and get the… Read more

temperature just right - this cooktop does it all. Heats a pot of water/rice to boiling in under 30 seconds, but can simmer it oh-so-gently, and then turn it off all by itself. The safety timer is great too - forget to turn off the stove after you've finished cooking? The Bosch does too. The only negative is that the glass used on this unit doesn't seem to be as scratch resistant as some other cooktops that I've used, and care is needed, but other than that - this is an excellent unit.

Great Cooktop – Had this cooktop for 1 month now and it has worked great. Big improvement over our old LG ceramic top. Combi zone is really handy as well. Had no problems with our pots and pans. Also looks pretty good. Purchased on special and also got $200 cash back offer, so ended up a steal. Would recommend.  Show details ·  1
