Great machines with many options – This machine has last a very rough hard working life with minimal problems. But i dont overload the machine, i leave the door open at the end of the wash cycle, the plug is surge and spike protected, i clean the lint trap and do a 6 monthly clean cycle - the longest cycle with 95 degree water temp with a washing machine cleaner! Yes i do agree… Read more
that the machine has its quirks - dryer takes longer than a seperate dryer, but to combat this i use the 40 mins cycle and open the door to let the steam out and the clothes are usually done! - if they need more can put them on another dry cycle or hang them on hangers. Overall it has been a very positive experience. Great wash performance, with many cycles and features!
Drying is *horrible* – I got stuck with one of these in my condo (thankfully I rent so can get out of it). The wash is ok, though quite small, but the dry is beyond horrible. It steams all the wrinkles into your clothes, doesn't dry them properly, leaves them steaming damp, and, if you leave them in long enough, will destroy them.
Absolute Rubish! – I bought this machine after being convinced by salesman at Harvey Norman that it was a great buy. (This seems to be a common occurance. I later found out that Harvey Norman have a financial interest in Ariston so it is no wonder they are pushing them.) I only had the machine for 2 months when it first broke down. After sales service was non… Read more
existant. We were unable to contact Ariston and had little help from Harvey Norman. Our local authorised repairer was equally frustrated. I was without a washing machine for 9 months, during which time I was having chemotherapy, so I could do without the added stress. Eventually I was provided a new machine which is okay, however the cycles are overly long and the dryer is useless.
The unfortunate thing is that after many years of satisfaction with Harvey Norman, I now won't shop there.
unreliable, no after sales service.
Great washing, poor drying – I bought this machine to save space in a one bedroom flat. It did this well but only used washing setting as the drying setting took too long and would steam up the little place and leave condensation through the bathroom. This is an expensive washer. Does a great wash. Drying function is useless, takes a long time and you can't open machine after the wash to remove some clothes.
Bad – Luckily we bought this machine from Harvey Norman when they had a 30 day money back guarantee on the Ariston range...We returned it with no questions asked.. The machine did wash well and clothes did come out beautifully washed. HOWEVER, the dryer function was faulty, and even though clothes were completely dry, the machine would not switch off.… Read more
This fault happened with whatever drying function was selected. ie drying time, cubpoard dry, or iron dry. The timer would count down and say there was 5 mins left, but it would just keep going on and on and on... went on for about an hour. The only way we could stop it was to cut the power to it! Definately a fire risk. Additionally it was SO NOISY on the spin cycle. Even with the laundry door shut, it could clearly be heard screaming on the spin cycle. Apparently the motor has plastic bushes, and this apparently means it wont last very long...We then went and bought a Fisher & Paykel 8kg front loader.. MUCH BETTER MACHINE. When it worked, it did wash clothes very well..Very compact. Irrelevant really when it was dangerous and didnt work. ENDLESS...Poor Ariston, they really need to pick up their game.
Terrible – A piece of junk, never buy one, Harvey Norman claimed it was number 2 to the Meile, it is not even close!!! Stay away from this product!!! Not much is good with this machine, other than it was a space saving idea. It faults at the drop of a hat, resulting in yet another service call, and even the fix it man said they were junk, the dry cycle is good on towels, like others have said the creases are very difficult to iron out in everything else.
