Crappiest oven ever - do not buy – So we got this oven in December 2014. It seemed to work okay noting that we might use it once or twice a week. In October 2018, it stopped working and heating so Ariston replaced a part under warranty. That oven has now stopped working and heating in March 2021 to which Ariston is telling me that it is not under warranty. Save yourself time and trouble - do not buy any Ariston products. They do not last more than a few years! Show details

Falling Apart – Our first Ariston MB91 was purchased in 2007. On installation from a qualified Electrician the house electrics kept tripping. On closer inspection. A none AUS safety compliant electrical component had melted and required replacement. Within 1 yr the oven door seal had to be replaced. After 5 yrs both the top element and fan element had burnt… Read more

out and again replacements had to be installed. The oven was excellent for bulk wet dishes although a lot of 'tweaking' was needed for cakes and pastries as the top element tended to overcook quite rapidly regardless of thermostat settings. Oven just "died" after 10 yrs. Due to cavity issues, no choice but to purchase a 2nd MB91 in Dec 2017. Door seal peeled away after 3 months then thermostat knob broke away. Not surprising warranty did not cover door seal (obviously a cheap quality installation/ manufacturing issue) however, the knob was. On making a phone warranty claim. I was kept on 'hold for 10 mins then disconnected. For the 2nd call, again 10 mins in a queue where the Customer Service rep who responded had an abrasive manner before my transfer to parts. Another explanation given to a parts rep where I was asked if I could install both the seal and knob myself. The latter is easy although I will have an additional expense of heat proof adhesive. Then I was informed that the items would be posted and this situation will be 'let go' this time around and that I will not get a second opportunity to make a warranty claim that still has 18 months to go!

Not surprised this make/model is recently discontinued. No third time lucky for Ariston products ever!

Not reliable ! Very disappointed and the worst oven we had experienced – We purchased the oven, cook top and dishwasher set over 10 years for our new house ( under construction at that time ). We had it installed in year 2010 but then we had the service man to come in to fix the element after few month of usage, then the oven fan started to lose and scratch the back in year 2015. Now the oven element is not functing and we have to search for service provider! Very disappointed!  Show details

does not even deserve a single star – In first year had to change fan and technician tried to blame me that I used corrosive cleaners to clean oven. I firstly have never cleaned it and at that point I have used it only a few times and secondly it is a self cleaning oven. Now the fan works and the oven does not heat up at all on the fan forced section. have to use the grilled part. … Read more

Oven has never cooked evenly eg: simple cup cakes some are burnt some a perfect and the rest are raw still.

This is a worthless useless oven that I won't waste my time and money to repair. Am looking for a oven that will fit in that same space in my kitchen.

Thank goodness as builders we never used this brand do not know why I was conned into this one by a Harvey Norman rep. Hubby like the look of it and he felt it was a good sized oven. Larger inside than most under bench ovens. Now Anyone that asks for our advise first recommendation is do not get anything Ariston.

Very disappointed with oven – MB 91 AUS oven has failed after 4 years. Not working on fan force anymore. Now oven is tripping out whole house. Ariston said they could not help me, although they now offer 5 year warranty. Never again. Last oven different brand lasted 14 years, only got rid of it for kitchen renovation.

Behind the oven the cabinets was scorched when I pulled oven out to replace cabinets that oven ruined. Takes ages to cook anything. It's just and O.K oven – I have to say we have had this oven for a few years now and though it cooks fine the pre heating does take a very long time which I am growing tired of. Definitely not energy efficient and loses alot of heat through the top vents on the door. I will be replacing with another brand!

Dissapointed with ariston Oven – We acquired this oven with the unit new. Oven door has never closed properly ajar 10-15mm and was told normal! Very slow to reach temperature and wastes a lot of heat/energy. We had an Ilve before and wanted another but we drew the short straw. We have removed the door for cleaning as per limited instructions however the door position has not… Read more

Best oven ever – I have had my Ariston oven for 6.5 years and have had no trouble at all. Would definitely buy another of the same size and type, it covers all our cooking needs easily and very easy to use. We entertain regularly and the size of this oven is more than adequate for our needs. Size, easy to use  Show 2 replies

Ariston 91 IX Oven – The worst oven I have ever encountered , takes 1 hour to cook a chook, when it should take 20-30min. The rubber seal has been replaced 3 times in 4 years! Please do yourself a favour and do not purchase this piece of Italian rubbish!!!!! I would not waste my money, please consider an Australian Brand like Westinghouse or Electrolux..... width cooking time and consistency

Good – Wondering if all this model had this fault, this is the 2nd oven Mayer has replaced after I complained earlier. Model looks very neat. Oven takes more than half an hour to preheat and still cannot reach exact temp. setting (eg. set at 150C thermometer show 120C). My oven is already a 1 for 1 replacement. Show reply
