Atrocous- has never worked properly- slow and show recurrent error codes – Bought a weekender with a brand new Ariston induction cooktop. It had been purchased only a month prior to settlement, so had barely been used. I have used induction cooktops before and love them so was pleased. However, two of the zones were incredibly slow right from the beginning and the other two worked only occasionaly- showing an error code which ultimately became a "permanent"
I rang Ariston Australia, who informed me that it was no longer under warranty because of the change in owner which I had expected, but what I didn't expect was that they would not have any accredited repair companies in Western Australia, where we live!
Our weekender is about 30 mins drive out of Perth, and not all repair companies will travel that far (!) and when I eventually found someone to come and assess, they informed me that I would need to replace both sides of the induction mechanism- the major parts of the whole cooktop! (I may not have the correct terminology, but you get the idea).
Long story short, I shall be replacing this product
Can't believe I waited so long to update – I have recently installed a new kitchen and purchased an induction cooktop to replace the old solid elements and Wow what a difference, easy to use, so much quicker to heat/cook foods. I Now control the temperature so when you want simmer you get it instantly. Love it. Thanks ariston
S'pose it's ok...... no, IT'S GREAT!!! – I've been living in the bush now for over 10 years and don't have access to natural gas for cooking. As a result, I've been fighting with VERY slow and inefficient electric cooktop. It was too slow to heat up and took for ever too cool down again. Now I've got the Ariston 80cm Induction cooktop, I've re-discovered the joy of cooking food that actually comes out right. When I want the food to heat up, it actually heats up. When I want it to cool down, it cools down instantly.
I'm so glad I bought this cooktop and wish I was able to buy one earlier. Ease of use and instand heat adjustment. Can't use my favourite pots on the inducton
Can't believe it – As a young girl I learnt to cook on a fuel stove. Learning to gauge how to stoke a stove to the right temprature was a nightmare. Later I progressed to Gas then Electricity. What an easy transition! Now I am the proud owner of an Ariston cook top. What a mrvelous addition to my kitchen. The quick and cooking of food is now at my fingertips. For a technicalogicaly challenged oldie this user friendly implement has made the latest change in my kitchen apleasurable experience. Energy efficient,

Hi thank you for your review, we have repairers across Australia in fact in WA we have over 12, we are very sorry to read that your oven was deemed faulty and will be replaced. It does carry a standard 5 year warranty. Ariston has been in Australia for over 20 years and this is very unusal for an induction to have such faults.
