No wonder it is discontinued...what a waste of money – I fell for the stunning good looks of this oven....but sadly it has not kept them! What is the point of double glass doors that cannot have one removed to clean between.....especially in an oven that creates so much steam. HOPELESS. Major design fault. It never even crossed my mind to check as surely this should be a basic requirement as the… Read more
glass is not one sealed panel (which would be the ONLY way no dirt and grease would enter the cavity).
The electric cable to the door has chaffed and exposed the wires...in less than 3 years.
I could live with the fact that, from the outset, it needed to be set 20 degrees higher than recipes specified in order to cook properly, however given this is a basic function of an oven, it is not impressive.
All in all I feel I have been conned and would never buy another product from Ariston.
The worst oven ever – This oven is simply the worst. We bought a brand-new one recently and right from the outset the fan didn't work and it took HOURS for anything to cook. Finally had the fan replaced and guess what - it STILL takes HOURS for anything to cook. Currently waiting for a cheesecake to finally be done - 2.5 hours and counting so far!! The worst!!!!! Avoid avoid avoid!! Devastated with our decision. What a waste of money. Show details

Warranty service Very Slow – The oven was installed mid April and seemed to function okay then on 17/11/16 I noticed the fan had stopped working so I phoned Ariston and reported the problem the next day (a Friday). The service agent came on the following Tuesday morning and took the details he needed to order the new part. Well it is now a week later and the part has not… Read more
arrived and the service agent has not been able to get a satisfactory reply as to when we can expect the part. This is most inconvenient as I have not been able to use the oven for 10 days now. Ariston need to improve their service.
March 7th 2017 Update: Warranty Service Very Slow
Further to my review dated 29/11/2016, after 2 weeks the part arrived but unfortunately it was the incorrect part. The Service Agent took the part back and contacted Ariston telling them it was the incorrect part. However after many phone calls and no response we contacted the Harvey Norman store that we purchased the oven from and after much negotiating with Ariston they agreed to replace the oven as it appears they didn't have the part we needed in stock. The replacement oven was delivered on December 21st just in time for Christmas. It took almost 6 weeks to obtain this result which is not what you would call good customer service. Hopefully I do not experience the same problem with the replacement oven.
Not at all happy with this ariston oven – I agree with the review I have just read , the oven does not get up to its true temperature . It marks easily & it's very hard to turn off , sometimes I leave it on whilst we are having a dinner party as it takes so long to turn off . I will be ringing Harvey Norman tomorrow to see what customer service Ariston offers Show details
Having the same problems
Never Again – Living on an island, it is difficult to get tradespeople to come out and look at appliances but finally an electrician had a look at our Ariston oven that I previously asked a lot of questions about on this forum. Well...our new oven..purchased in January 2016 and installed mid March 2016 is definitely faulty. It needs a new board, new fan and a… Read more
new something else...sorry forgotten. Stopped working completely a week ago with error F24.
I do not want this piece of poop and it has given me nothing but issues the day it was installed. Initially, I thought I didn't know how to use the oven and we then left for a 5 week holiday. On our return I went through the tiny manual, looked online for instructions and finally deduced that the oven was actually faulty.
It would not heat to the required temperatures, there was condensation inside the oven which has run down inside the glass panels of the oven door, took twice as long or never to cook things, the inside glass was impossible to clean and the fingermarks and other marks on the outside of the oven door was positively ugly!!!
One positive...I did like the lights.
I have product care with Harvey Norman so I have asked them to replace the oven...but not with another ARISTON. Changes are I will still get another faulty oven as there seems to be a few around from HN sold around January 2016.

Not as good as previous Electrolux – Bought this oven in Feb 2016 from Harvey Norman following the excellent reviews on this website after our 5-year-old Electrolux died during a pyrolytic clean (see my other review on this oven). I must say I am not entirely happy with this oven for several reasons. First and foremost, as an oven you expect it to do the basic job of heating to… Read more
the desired temperature in order to control how food is cooked. We noticed the oven was taking much longer than usual to cook foods including when following recipes. We then bought a specific oven thermometer and found that when the oven beeped to say the desired temperature had been reached, this was not the case. Eg. when aiming for a temp of 200 deg, the thermometer showed it was sitting at 180-185 degrees. Not only that but we noticed it takes longer to even reach the desired temperature compared to our old Electrolux which heated up very fast. For an oven that can't even reach the designated temperature this is simply a fail.
Secondly all the electronic icons are flush with the oven panel i.e. no buttons sticking out which you may think looks nice but it means easily turning on something when you gently bump into it. This was initially quite annoying until we found out how to lock it!
The other thing is that, unlike our Electrolux, the oven time would often disappear - it is not constantly displayed. We've been so used to being able to glance over to look at the time, only to find now nothing displayed! One has to manually move the knob to see the time display!
Thirdly this Ariston oven boasts an internal capacity of 81L whilst our previous Electrolux had a capacity of 66L yet we could clearly see the Ariston seemed to be smaller and trays that would easily fit in the Electrolux were a tight squeeze in this Ariston! Don't know how this can be possible when it's meant to be 15L larger!
Fourthly this oven leaves fingerprints - every time one touches the oven, another fingerprint is left. This is incredibly frustrating when you have a little one who wants to touch everything. So if you want to be constantly cleaning your oven then by all means consider this oven! Again our Electrolux didn't leave any prints at all!! I so miss our old oven!!
Another thing I recall is that after installation, we turned on the oven for 1hr as per the instructions, and kept the room ventilated to get rid of the smell. I must say that smell lingered in the room despite leaving the oven rangehood on for hours and leaving the windows open for days. It was a very unpleasant toxic-like smell that concerned me and hence I prevented the little one coming into the kitchen area for some time.
Really not impressed by this oven and wonder what others see in it to give such favourable reviews. Perhaps after owning the Electrolux and getting used to the great features it had has only caused us disappointment with this replacement oven.

Love the open space! – I purchased the Ariston OK897 3 months ago for a new kitchen, and im very happy so far. Im still learning how best to use the different settings, but generally get good results. This oven has a large internal space (this is the reason i chose this model) and i've baked multiple trays at a time without any hassle. It looks great too. It does show… Read more
finger prints, but a quick wipe with a lightly damp tea towel is all it needs to look great again. So far so good.
Hassle free cooking – Ariston 70L wall oven has 4 cooking racks, is easy to use, easy to clean and is very fast cooking. The exterior design is very stylish and easy to keep streak free. It is fast to heat up and fast to shut down. The separate cooking zones is a useful function to cater for 1 dish or many. Quality for money
Super Happy with this oven! – I recently renovated my kitchen and wanted a new oven. I found trying to choose one a mindfield. So much choice and I didn't know much about good brands etc. After agonising in many shops I was guided byt the sale persona in Harvey Norman and he recommended Ariston. The endorsement from MasterChef also helped. I am so glad I bought this brand and… Read more
oven. I also purchased an Ariston induction cooktop which is also fantastic! Love the mirror like appearance of the oven door. Can easily wipe away marks with a wet then dry cloth and it is left sparkling. I use it everyday and when there is minimal food marks on the oven floor they easily wipe away. My only criticism is the timer/alarm isn't that loud and if I'm in the bedroom I can't hear it.
Love the extra space & its performance – we moved into our new house a month back decided to go with the Ariston oven. Thrilled with the extra space and features. love how it looks. love the fact that there s an option that doesn't require pre-heating. Is a bit expensive but got a very good deal and the 5 year warrant means peace of mind. will be recommending this to friends and family the space, how it looks, the features price
Excellence in cooking – We have had a new kitchen installed and went with Ariston products. The oven heats up quickly and with the LED lighting it is a breeze to see what is happening. I have used the top element for browning Lasagne/potato bake with excellent results. I am very happy with my oven and would recommend Ariston to anyone who asks and it comes with a 5 year warranty, what more could you ask. A great oven, better than our old gas oven
best oven and cook top – This has to be the best oven and cook top we have owned it was a little expensive but as soon as you use them you know it was worth it, heats up super quick, easy to use and clean, heaps of functions, will save you money in the long run, but make shore you do your home work first, if your wiring in not adequate could end up costing you a lot more… Read more · 1
then you thought, get a electrician to look first needs 32 amps on both appliances every thing finger prints are a pain
A Gem in My Kitchen! – My new oven OK897ELCXAUS not only is a GEM to look at but is producing perfect baking for me. I am enjoying the features and am finding the results are superior to what my previous oven produced although it was a top of the range appliance from another european manufacturer. There is no doubt that I will recommend this oven to many in the… Read more

Thank You Ariston and a Thank You to the retail staff who helped me make a change to Ariston. The available space in the oven cavity is such a plus and the ease of choice for perfect results.
