Much better than expected – Took a flight from Seoul to Shanghai December 2024 and was pleasantly surprised. Airbus A320. Nice clean plane and comfortable seating, friendly helpful flight crew, awesome tasting meal service and everything on time with no delays. Great value for money too. Couldn't ask for more than that. Only downside is their app is rubbish. Would not hesitate in flying with them again. Show details
Will not fly with Asiana airlines again – Not a good experience at all. Our flight times got changed in February and now in June we went to check in and was informed that our connecting flight wait time in Tokyo was not long enough. If your connecting flight is under 2 hours and 30 minutes, Asiana will not let you check in. I have a 1 year old baby, a father inlaw that is over 70 years… Read more
old, my mother and mother inlaw are close to 60 years old and Asiana could not accommidate for the change of flight as it was not a fault of our own. Our new flight is 6 hours later than the previous flight and now we are left to wait at the terminal for over 7 hours until we board. My family and I will not be booking with Asiana again.
A lot of delayed and cancelled flights with Air Asiana – Incheon airport is good. Been here many times but Air Asiana has so many delays and cancellations, be mindful. I missed by connecting flight (also Asiana) the first flight from Sydney was delayed. I got a $11 voucher.. lol. I ended up missing christmas with my family. Never again will I fly Asiana. Cheats – Wife and I in business and kids in economy aged 11 and 13. They made us upgrade the kids to adult tickets. Then pay $500 per way unaccompanied fee. More for the teenager which makes no sense. Didn't take the kids until the gate and didn't let them come into the lounge. Show details
Great experience – I took a plane from Australia to France with a transit in Seoul which went very smoothly. I found the team very friendly and professional. I also had to phone them and found they were quite receptive and easy to get in touch with. The only down side in the first plane was the screen, old and you couldt barely see. But in the second one, the… Read more
longest, the screen was top-notch and even got some consistent wifi.
The food was also tasty. Thanks for this great experience Asiana Airlines.
Flight service is good but office services is gone – Asiana customers service Sydney office is terribly bad..only replying is they have closed due to COVID..but airline service is good. Show details
First time with this airline – My wife and I traveled Business class with this airline, it was a first for us and all we can say is if all airlines had the service, the five star food, the wonderful attention by staff then the cost would be worth it, we traveled on others to get to our destination and they were never up to the standard received by this airline. Thank you Asiana we will fly you again. Regards D. Kingshott Show details
No after sale service, none what so ever – Hi I would never fly Asiana airline again as they don't have any after service. I had an accident in Canada and upgraded my flight, the insurance company wants detail that I did not have and only Asiana airline can provide and I have contacted them, emailed them in Australia and America but nobody has contacted me or tried to help me. My husband… Read more
went to Seattle Airport and asked for the info and they said to ring customer service, gave him telephone contact that are not even valid. I am $10 K out of pocket after a serious accident and I could not go back to work. I had travel insurance but unless I provide the extra information, they can not process the claim. I would like some one to help me please on email
Never Never again with Asiana ! – It would take to long to try to go through all the problems we had, Booked return flights to the Europe ,after 3 months of flight being booked outward flight Sydney Seoul flight cancelled, had to fly a day earlier because of arrangements already made, Sydney Seoul flight was 4+ hours delayed only notified when we got to the airport, arrived at… Read more
Seoul 4+ hours late and complimentary transport was finished, Asiana desk agent said we had to get our own transport to Hotel and laughed when I said he should arrange a Taxi. Had to chase around to exchange money for Taxi in a closed airport. got to hotel after 2 am and had to catch transport to airport at 6 am.( so much for the relaxing break in the journey ) flight to Istanbul was delayed as was every flight we took with them. They had no European food choices on this flight as they had run out.
But the very worst of it was the flight UK to Seoul, this had to be the oldest plane still in service ,terrible worn out seats where you could feel the metal underneath not what you want at the start of an 11 hour flight, the solution was to put 8 neck pillows underneath the seating,on both our seats, the inflight entertainment was ancient with a screen the size of a small Iphone and terrible sound. The complimentary onboard drinks = I had two drinks ( not in a short space of time ) and when I asked for another the attendant started questioning whether I was drunk .All in all a terrible experience all round and would never risk it again with Asiana
Worst business class experience – I booked Qantas flight from Seoul to Sydney but it is a code share flight with Asiana. It was my first time on Asiana flight. Asiana has a city terminal at Seoul station. If you travel on Asiana flights, you could check in at city terminal except QF ticket even if you are on the same flight. I have to drag my bags to the airport. Check in at Seoul… Read more
airport is pretty average. Staff is not very helpful and friendly. Asiana changed aircraft last minute (apparently 3 times) so my reserved seat is gone. Lounge is worse than Qantas domestic lounge. Food is really bad and hardly you can get anything to eat. The worst part is the on board business class seat. It was 2-3-2 arrangement. It is not flat, not even angled flat. I feel I am back to 80s. It was so uncomfortable and I could not sleep whole trip. Entertainment is horrible, its not AVOD. You hardly can see the screen clearly and it is nothing to watch anyway. Food is below average and staff are not so friendly on board. It was the worse business class I am on so far. I will not fly with Asiana again soon. Qantas should really partner with Korean Air for Seoul flight.
Good Airline – I travelled between Sydney and Seoul in an Asiana B777. The checkin service was good, in-flight service very good. Choice of movies on the AVOD system wasn't bad but the system was a little dated and could use an upgrade. Probably the only complaint about the flight was the pilot's incessant use of the Seat Belts sign. It was on for a large… Read more
proportion of the flight in each direction, particularly as we crossed the Inter-tropical convergence zone near the equator. The effect was that people were breaking the "remain in your seat with your belt fastened" rule in order to go to the toilet....something that would not have been tolerated by flight attendants in other airlines such as Qantas. In reality the turbulence encountered was definitely no worse than experienced in Qantas or other flights where the belts sign was left off. I think the Asiana pilots were a little over-cautions.
But apart from this issue the flight was very good.
I'm not sure, however, that they necessarily deserve their position in the top 10 airlines in the world. I've been with better.
Good Service – Check in staff at Seoul wre very good, professional an courteous unlike Australian airport staff in general. Cabin service was reasonable. Leg room is far too small for a tall person on a long hall flight. Their safety standards did concern me a little. Probably need more multilingual staff eg Emirates. GCheck in service in Korea Safety, leg room.
Outstanding service from a premium carrier that sets the standards – Business class from Sydney to Seoul on their new 777 aircraft. Check in staff were very warm and friendly and gave good first impressions. Lounge in Sydney is shared with Air New Zealand which is still good but the Asiana business lounge in Seoul is amazing - clean, spacious area and very classy with modern facilities and shower rooms offered… Read more
expensive branded products.
Lighting also created a pleasant ambiance. Even an escort service to the gates was provided and the ground attendant very pollite with a bow and wishing me a pleasant flight. Onboard, seats (new OZ Quadra Smartium) are 180 degrees horizontal fully flat and are perfect size with sufficient width and length and overall impression of space is excellent - not too wide and not too slim.
Sleeping and sitting comfort was excellent and feels just like your own bed. Entertainment screens HD and very wide and clear and lots of movies available which occupied the flight. Meals were fine dining and comparable to five star restaurants. Their wine, champagne and cognac list is a must! Complements the meals very well.
Amenity kits contained Bvlgari cosmetics and extra amenities like cologne, eau de toilette, facial sprays / lotions available in the very clean lavatories. Before landing, crew handed out thank you gifts and Asiana is the only airline I've experienced that hands out parting gifts to their passengers. This is the type of service that should be offered on airline carriers. Asiana truly live up to their 5 star rating and go beyond it. I highly recommend this airline. Excellent flat seats, updated entertainment, restaurant quality food and top tier alcoholic beverages, branded cosmetics, thank-you gifts given, outstanding service from cheerful, warm crew.
Excellent from start to finish! – Travelled from Sydney to Seoul and service was outstanding and staff are friendly and very welcoming which is rare to find on other airlines these days. I usually hate flying and was horrified at the prospect of a 10 hour flight but Asiana did an excellent job making the journey very comfortable. Seats are spacious and plushy which made for an… Read more
excellent sleep. Highlight for me was the food and even some expensive wines were given! Toilets were stocked with quality cosmetics, facial sprays and perfume and kept clean throughout the flight. Economy class service is comparable to business class on other airlines. Personal monitors were huge touch screens and good movies/shows available. Would definitely recommend this airline if you're looking for superior comfort and competitive prices. Excellent service, friendly and welcoming crew, excellent food and wine, very comfortable seats, modern entertainment and very clean cabin.
