Roll em up – I was in the market for a dryer that rolls all items into a ball and bakes the outside but leaves the middle as damp as when they went in so Asko met my needs perfectly Show details

Stay Away from Asko, since not being made in Sweden anymore, quality is terrible – Our first Asko Condenser Dryer we bought brand new from Harvey Norman, lasted us for 11yrs before it packed it in, costing us $150 for a repair man's call out fee to tell us we needed a new one, that it would cost more in labour and parts than it was worth. So we bought another Asko thinking it should last us just as long. Within barely the first… Read more

year we started to have problems with it. It's noisy enough to begin with and started to need more than 3hrs to dry a 6kg load of clothes (the dryer is 8kg). After just over 2yrs the heating element no longer works so we decided to save our money on a call out and repair fee and just buy a 2nd hand Miele which is heaps quieter and drys the clothes completely, including heavy ones like jeans in about 1hr. Would never buy another Asko. Plus it's hard to figure out all the functions without a manual. None of it makes sense

Absolute trash, don't waste your money with Asko – I purchased this dryer in 2020 and it ran fine enough during the warranty period, although it was a little louder and less effective than my previous dryer which was half the price. Just out of warranty it stopped working, requiring a repair costing $300 (23% of dryer value). 11 months after this repair and the issue has returned. I'll be throwing… Read more

it on the verge and buying another brand. The last Asko product I'll own, which is a shame, because 15 years ago they made great products and were a great company.

Gentle on clothes – We were in the market for a heat pump dryer and went with Asko mainly because of their quality. Cycle times can beat couple of hours, but it handles clothes gently and doesn't overheat them (something that can degrade clothing quickly). Plumbs directly into the laundry sink, with an option to use a reservoir of needed. Settings are easy to… Read more

navigate with a dedicated setting for bedding (rolls the tub both ways to avoid sheets or towels balling up).

We have a family of 5 and use the dryer every day. We separate our loads (kids clothes, sheets, towels, etc) to assist with even drying. The gentle handling of clothes is well worth the longer cycle times (1:10-2:30 for most load, depending on size). There is a timed setting to allow shorter cycles and an airing setting with no heat.

Works well but requires multiple runs – We needed a dryer and chose this because of recommendation. We have found this dryer to require multiple runs to have complete dry clothes, especially heavier items like jeans etc. Show details

complete waste of money. high maintenance – Completely unsatisfied with this dryer. Only front load dryer I had except this one was AEG which was fantastic. using more than 7-8 years. without any issues. But this one is a nightmare. ewhry 2- 3 weeks need to remove all the filters and parts including the condenser to clean, always displaying the error showing the drain tank needed to… Read more

emptied. Even when we are not using the drain tank , instead we use drain line to get rid of the water. Once called a tech and it didn't fix the problem. Also Its noisy and vibration is so intense sometimes our house which is on stumps too getting vibrated . The AEG which I used before completely opposite. Loved it in every aspect .

Never going for ASKO again.

Don't do it, waste of money – Had owned a Miele condenser dryer for 25 years and loved it, but Meile not making condenser dryers anymore. After some reasearch, bought Asko as thought it would be a reliable alternate. Machine stopped drying and was stopping mid drying cycle a couple of weeks after getting it. Called out Asko technician who advised that small line draining… Read more

water into condensate tank was blocked with lint and we would be best served to drain the water rather than collect it in condensate tank, however machine is too far from nearest drain. The lint filter on door is useless, there is lint throughout the drum, all over the glass on the inside of the door and machine after every drying cycle. The condenser unit has to be cleaned every few weeks (used to clean the condenser unit on my Miele dryer once a year) as it is full of lint. We have to pull out the dryer from under bench, remove the outer shell and clean out drain line every 4-6 weeks or machine stops drying. Emptying the condensate tank is difficult and you can never empty it completely. When you have finally completed all of the maintenance required on this machine, it will dry your clothes efficiently - but upkeep way too time consuming for it to be worth it. Would not buy Asko again.
