Avoid buying. Product isn't great, and Astral Viron Fluidra's service is even worse – Do Not Purchase. The product: I've owned this pool heater for 4 yrs, and it's had multiple failures (error F04, F18, E051... and more). 2 years ago it's flow sensor died and needed replacing (at my cost). Most recently it's completely died (F04) with some mother/driver board failing. Service: Astral Viron Fluidra have advised they cannot help... no warranty support, and no recognition of consumer rights or that a customer paying $7,300 for a heater could expect it last longer than 4yrs.

wouldnt buy one again based on experience – never been happy with the unit and called an engineer out a couple of times to assess whether it is doing what it is meant to - heat the pool. the inlet, outlet tem differential was always only ever about 2.5 Degrees Celsius. Customer service was patchy when called. 4 years of use and now have been told that the system needs a $1,500 repair of the Drive Module & SC which is out of warranty.

Design floor causing failure – I have had the iHP90 pool pump for around 5 years. The unit worked well to heat the pool however shortly after the unit was out of warranty the screen failed due to a design failure that sometimes it does not latch properly. This failure allowed water to get into the screen and corrode it. The outer case of the unit is also suffering from UV exposure and has started to warp. The most annoying thing is a replacement screen should be easy to fix. For me to purchase a new screen module in Australia will set me back $1600 whereas I can purchase an identical part from China and get it shipped to Australia for around $90 however I don't have the config file to program the new screen. Astral have zero customer support, they will just try to palm you off to one of their suppliers. The unit also came with a Wi-Fi module that never worked as the corresponding phone app was buggy. You are better off buying from a different company as once you are out of Warranty there is no support.

Purchased in for $3,399.
