Probably went for a unit above what we required but wow it does the job. Force-i PRO 3 phase 28kw, it's quiet and extremely energy efficient.

tech that confirmed the unit is faulty. Now I've been having problems with the eco pump but they again are blaming the installer and want to charge me $200 to send out a tech to have a look and its still under warranty. they are impossible to talk to. Would never recommend them.

Fantastic Unit. Heated my 40000l litre pool in. 2 days. Simple to install. Only problem I had was setting timers for the unit. Instructions are confusing. A video should be provided to make timer setting simpler. All in all great unit. Show details

Bought the edge so I could have it wall mounted above an existing air conditioner unit. It cools the air that falls down to the a/c to make house… Read more

cooling more efficient and pool heating more efficient. Quiet and instant operation. Have to go through lengthy registration before using the app so don’t know what the app is like yet.

Very impressed by the heater. It is quieter than expected and very powerful. James spent a lot of time ensuring it was the best pool heater for my pool and ensuring it would work as expected in the space we had. Show details

I have one of these 13Kw Genesis Heaters and it does work to a degree I suppose, but I do have problems with it. 1) It seems very noisy since you… Read more

have to run on Hi and boost to get the pool warm in three or 4 days. Too noisy to run at night for neighbors and since my bedroom is 25 metres from it I hear it and it keeps me awake. It does not seem to have any sound proofing which may be the reason for the noise?

2) Adjusting the water flow is a trial, too much or too little makes the machine sense an over or under pressure, gives an error code and cuts off. Finally found a setting that sort of works.

3) Instruction booklet very poor, Wifi so difficult to set up, instructions have you going around in circles and generally don't explain anything.

4) Comes back on any time you have a power outage. Greenstar (Genesis company) blame the power company rather than acknowledge a product fault. It came on by itself while I was on holiday overseas for 8 weeks, came home to find the heater running, not impressed. Have to unplug when not on.

5) Forget warranty, I asked for the problems to be fixed and they told me I could pay for a service call for them to sort it out.

The pool blanket and sun seem to heat the pool better, so unless it's overcast, I generally leave the pool heater off. An expensive piece of kit for what it does.

Great pool heater. Very quiet and heats efficiently. Easy to use app. We like the vertical fan design as it uses less space. Lux-V series. Does not use too much power either.

conditions the heat dissipates and there is not much gain. The Heater is extremely quiet. We also like the display giving excellent information. We can thoroughly recommend this product.

Avoid buying. Product isn't great, and Astral Viron Fluidra's service is even worse – Do Not Purchase. The product: I've owned this pool heater for 4 yrs, and it's had multiple failures (error F04, F18, E051... and more). 2 years ago… Read more

it's flow sensor died and needed replacing (at my cost). Most recently it's completely died (F04) with some mother/driver board failing. Service: Astral Viron Fluidra have advised they cannot help... no warranty support, and no recognition of consumer rights or that a customer paying $7,300 for a heater could expect it last longer than 4yrs.

Disappointing – I used to have an Astral MX100 gas pool heater but it reached the end of its life and needed to be replaced. They are becoming hard to find, most… Read more

pool equipment franchises don't deal with them anymore, perhaps the moves by greens to shutdown the natural gas distribution pipelines and outlaw the use of gas heaters is a reason.

Anyway the Rheem Raypak 280 was recommended and I sourced one and had it installed. It works very effectively.

However for the first summer of its use, despite many service calls, it 'kettled', meaning it screamed / whistled, as per an old style gas cooktop kettle whistling as it boils. This was very troublesome as it added to the noise of the pump, set to high when heating, the potential long term effect is that the heater will not last as long as it should do as the excessive heat will degrade the components. I even replaced the old water pump with a new one for an additional $2500 in order to boost the water flow rate but it made no difference, nor did gas fitters adjusting the gas pressure downwards to the minimum specification.

I have used it at the tail end of this summer and so far it seems to have abated. Hope that it was just a 'running in' issue. The old heater never whistled even new so this is a fingers crossed situation. If it stays quiet then I will amend the review to four stars, less one to account for the stress and additional cost of tech visits and a premature replacement of a perfectly good pump.

to throw this expensive heaps of crap in the bin. The previous heater I had was a Bowman which lasted for 30 years. I'm going to buy a Bowman like I should have in the first place.
