Extend your pool days with Evoheat – Replaced an 11 year old Heat Pump with this DHP30. Goes well, puts out more heat than the old one and seems to run less to get there. Small footprint is good in limited space. Front panel is pretty good for viewing setup and controls. Phone control App is a bonus, a little clunky but works OK. Show details
Warming our Pool – I chose this unit as I have limited space and the unit fits perfectly. It was installed a week ago and with the excellent support from PK Pool & Spa Care (Supplier) we were able to stabilize the temperature at 29 degrees for our concrete pool, allowing us to use the pool during the cooler days. I like the idea of it shutting off when the required temperature is reached. Show details
Great Product Until It Breaks – Our control panel went bad and needed to be replaced. Dealing with customer support was a nightmare. Instead of asking, "Do you have the square display or the rectangular display?" the support agent refused to process the service request until we sent a photo of the display. Normally not an issue but when you are out of town for the week, it is an… Read more
issue.
And the replacement scree cost of $583 - almost what it costs for a new iPad, minus 99% of the functionality. The screen does NOT come with an extended warranty so I can only imagine that this is going to be an ongoing cost every 2-3 years....
I received and opened up the replacement screen only to find that Customer Support sent the square display instead of the required rectangular display. Waiting to hear back from them and their response. Far from a delightful experience.

Holds at 28 degrees even in Melbourne – Very happy with how quickly this unit heats the water to 28 degrees - pool blanket helps enormously in the colder spring mornings of Melbourne, but not needed in Summer. Much better than the previous Astral heat pump we had which bvarely made a difference. However the LCD panel no longer functions so working with EvoHeat to resolve this. Show details
Great unit, big powerful and stylish – Needs to be 800mm off the wall. This is an industrial unit and is a little noisy so best installed 10 Meters away from the sitting area of the pool for your comfort. Show details · 1
Perfect pool heater – We have a large 180k lt pool requiring a small commercial heater. Evo heat pump had our pool up to temperature within a couple of days. We love the industrial design plus it’s super quiet and energy efficient. We are also installing solar to support running costs. Certainly looking forward to swimming all year round. Evo service was impeccable from the getgo making sure we were happy and informed. Highly recommend this company. Show details · 1
Great Heat pump – Works perfectly for our 5m x 3m pool. The biggest benefit was the vertical fan meaning we were able to fit in our confined space. It is easy to use and connects in perfectly with our other equipment, meaning we can swim year round. Show details · 2

DHP50-R Unit is OK, when its running, but service support from Evo-heat is terrible – I bought this unit in Dec 2019 for my 48,000 ltr pool. The guys at Menai Pool Barn went above and beyond with the install just in time for Christmas, especially on routing & provisioning the piping for the installation of the unit. Have been very happy with the unit ...when its running. After about 6 months the wifi connection unit failed and… Read more
needed to be replaced. This was done without too much hassle. But troubleshooting the problem was difficult (the app is difficult to connect to and clumsy to use and has no meaningful instructions for troubleshooting) After a few follow ups to get the replacement wifi unit delivered, eventually the unit was replaced and the problem was fixed (not a big deal).
However, during autumn this year we noticed the unit was not performing as efficiently or effectively as usual and then in July it shut down completely. Had Aaron, our local pool guy at Menai come out check the unit and confirmed it was not the independent water pump and that we would need to get Evoheat to take a look at the heat pump as its pressure reading was either low or misreading. This first contact with Evoheat was back in July via their warranty process. Heard nothing after that for weeks (Evoheat assumed I did not want anyone to fix the unit due to Covid restrictions). After following up with them, there were 3 separate attempts to repair and re-gas the unit over Aug/Sep via their service network. Each attempt failed to fix the unit or resulted in the same failure re-occurring.
Evoheat agreed to replace the faulty component, but did not have any parts in Australia. Therefore had to wait for the factory to make it, and then air freight it. 6 weeks. ETA was delayed twice and finally arrived sometime late November, but I only learnt this after to having to follow up with Evoheat again to find out what was happening. Miraculously the part had turned up that very day. Finally, their agent arrived to install the part on Dec 1st. But the unit failed within 24 hours with a high pressure error. Had the agent and his boss come out again the next day (Dec 3rd) to diagnose what was happening. They determined another part (a switch) was faulty and needed replacing. No problem apparently to get another one and replace it. Easy. Should have it in the truck.
Three weeks later Christmas has arrived and still no sign of the part or anyone to fix it despite two follow up calls since Dec 3rd. I sent an email update to Evoheat’s Service Manager and General Manager yesterday who has asked to be kept in the loop back in November. Still no response.
Have now been without the use of an expensive / top-shelf bit of gear (cost over A$9K) for over 6 months due to a confirmed manufacturing fault. They also refused to offer a replacement unit during the time its taken to sort out a failed repair or offer a replacement unit to remedy this. At the very least I would expect Evoheat as a supplier to commercial facilities to have parts readily available or be able to obtain a part from a new unit and replace it, or simply replace whole the unit to resolve the issue.
Still waiting for a response… Really poor customer service and lack of follow up from Evo-heat. Very disappointed.
EvoHeat # 2 – We have had an EvoHeat Pool heater for the last 9 years - fortunately / unfortunately it finally failed due to a storm surge and we now have the latest model DHP30-R. I think the 1st unit was dropped on install as it always ran very loudly / rattled. This was confirmed by our fantastic Refrigeration & A/C Technician, Dan. The compressor was… Read more
out of alignment. Enough about the old unit.
The new unit is super quiet in comparison and with the phone app we can check, set, and turn off/on the heater from any location. We love it. We use a pool blanket to keep the heat in overnight and that's made it way more efficient to maintain the pool's temp. We installed the heater on tariff 33 so that helps efficiency as well. Previously we used the pool Dec - Feb but now have an extended swim season of Sept - April. We find the kids are not interested in swimming when the outside temps are too low (May to Aug).
Do yourself a favour and maximise your pool season by heating it up with EvoHeat!
Just installed the EvoHeat DHP40R – I just had the DHP40R installed last week, along with the JBox (I recommend you get this as part of the system). So far it seems very good - using it to mostly heat the spa rather than the pool during these cooler months and that's been fantastic. And from the speed the spa heats up and the limited time I have used it for the pool, I'm confident… Read more
it will also heat the pool well. I was also very impressed by the thorough and well laid out Heating Evaluation they did - far more comprehensive than the other quotes I got for heat pumps. Their support is also very responsive - I had a couple of questions for them after the unit had been installed, and they responded to my email very quickly and comprehensively. I would have given this 5 stars except for the fact that it's not a particularly quiet machine. The documentation says it has a "silent mode" which apparently runs the fan at a lower speed, but enabling this makes no discernible difference to the noise level. Their tech support also recommend against this mode since it's not as efficient. Probably more of a 4.5 star review.
Finally, a mention to Andrew Berriman from All Season's Solar in Sydney - as part of the installation he was very thorough and also completely re-vamped all of the pool plumbing, sorting out a lot of long term issues I've had, and generally getting things working just they way they should!

very good and easy to commission & operate – We purchased the DHP40-R on the recommendation of our pool guy, so far no regrets, it is easy to program, quite running, very effective heater, on our experience to date, we would recommended the DHP40-R Show details
What a Great Heater! – Easy to use and operate. The heater had an unexpected benefit to us - my wife had a total knee replacement and we were able to heat the pool to 30 degrees in winter so that she could complete her rehabilitation exercises thus speeding her recovery. Very impressed! Show details

Excellent heater - must use a pool cover – 50R model struggled to maintain heat above 17c in winter months. Since adding a pool cover it comfortably maintains 28-29c. Ideal heater given we could not use solar given lack of roof space. Fan is on the noisy side and blasts cold air into the area above heating unit, so install location needs considering. Melbourne location. Show details
Keeps pool hot so we can use it even when weather is not so good – We do not like swimming in cold water so installed this heat pump and keep our pool running at the high 20 degrees. Now can swim whenever we want. Fantastic.
Perfect, quiet, powerful, and now running with our solar so environmentally friendly! – Cygnet Pools advised us to get the EVO Heat Advanced DHP-R series heat pump. The pump fits into a small zone alongside our other pool equipment. It has all the features we wanted including stainless strong construction, quiet and efficient operation and wifi enabled controls, coupled to our solar panels to be environmentally friendly / cost effective. Working beautifully. Could not be happier! Thanks Joe and Cygnet Pools and Evo Heat! Show details
Great heater, nice warm pool – Pleasant stainless steel appearance, powerful heater, gets the pool up to temp and keeps it there easily. Reasonably quiet. Easy to use interface and wifi connection makes it a breeze to adjust temperature using the app. Show details
Excellent – Installation of pump had been quick and easy process. Does not make much noise. Pump is very effective and serves the purpose. Would happily recommend this product to any one. Show details
Works well – Recently installed to heat indoor 40k litre pool in Hobart. So far works beautifully, not as noisy as expected. Sitting at a lovely 29 degrees as set on control panel .
New Installation – Installed yesterday. Pool approximately 40000 to 45000 litres. Water temp started at 21c. Will be at 28c in less than 24hrs. Quiet operation. Good phone app that works through WiFi. Very happy so far. Show details · 1
Great unit – Took a bit for the unit to get our pool to the temp needed but once it got there doesn't take much to bring it back, Costly to run but worth it if you can afford. Show details · 1
Works well, difficult to connect to wifi – Works very well at heating the pool, and in conjunction with our solar panels is quite efficient, although we haven't had any success connecting to the app/wifi. Hopefully it stands the test of time. Show details · 1

Great compact heater – Matthew from Jims pool care Chelmer installed our heater and did a fantastic job. The heater is quiet, hidden away with our other pool equipment and easy to operate. I went with the DHP series due to the enclosed space and the difficulties with horizontal airflow and intake. It will take a while to heat the pool in winter but we really got this… Read more · 1
to extend our swimming season to 8 months instead of 4. Our pool sees a lot of shade and is relatively large (5mx8m).
I've struggled to get the wi-fi connected but that is due to a weak signal near the pool. The controls on the heater are really easy to operate, you can set a timer for it to turn on and turn on your pool pump if you get the J box. You can set temperature and other basic features. Overall a great investment
We should have had this product 5 years ago – We use this machine to heat our 2000 Litre Spa, previously we had a heater that had 3 elements in it. The first set of elements last over 2 years, second set 4 months, third set 2 months. The company would not guarantee their elements any more so we looked for an alternative and are happy to say we found the EvoHeat DHP-R Heat Pump. Since having… Read more
the unit installed a few months ago we have never had a problem, the machine is efficient, quiet and trouble free. Highly recommend anyone who needs a pool or spa heater to look at the Evoheat range, there will be a model to suit and you will not regret having one installed.
Great unit – Once you initially get the pool to temperature, it works a treat. Very useful in the fringe seasons where the weather is warming up, which allows for a pleasant swimming temperature. The JBox is a must as it allows the pool filter to which on and off whenever the heater needs to run. The fan is on top of the unit which allows it to be installed almost anywhere.
Replaced what I thought was a great pool heater with something ten times better! – The quality of the unit is really outstanding, but it’s the service that backs it up that makes it the best possible value. Don’t settle for anything but the best!
Great performance and extremely quiet for size – Excellent unit. Very powerful, quiet and fast heating of pool. Very nice stainless appearance. Great looking product and easy to use , super quiet . Now ready for the sunny days to enjoy a comfortable swim .. The wifi app makes it convenient to control the heater from the palm of your hand. Show details
Excellent product – Powerful machine. Installed and turned on overnight and went from 18 degrees to 28 degrees for swimming the next day. Nice stainless steel design, has a silent mode that can be on a timer. J Box allows pool pump to work for chlorinator and heat pump independently so as to avoid excess chlorination (i.e. chlorinator stops after pool filtration run… Read more
time). Wifi set up is easy. This system allows all year swimming. Installation was fantastic and ran smoothly.
Excellent Heater – We have now had the DHP 30R Pool Heater for nearly 2 years and are very happy with it. There was some initial problems with the control unit when first installed but the installer was great and replaced it with an upgraded unit. We haven't used the heater during winter but have used it throughout Spring/Autumn with very good results. The… Read more
combination of the heater with a pool blanket is very effective - the pool blanket is essential for optimum performance and reducing energy costs. We got a clear colour blanket which actually looks very nice (much better than the terrible blue colour of yesteryear). In summer rarely need to use the heater as the blanket itself does the job. This heater is ideal for confined spaces due to the vertical air flow - the main reason we chose this model. Horizontal air flow can be problematic if not enough space between the heater and other structures (fences, etc). Is also quieter than expected. Highly recommend.
Awesome heater - easy to use and very efficient – Pool heater working fantastic in combination with pool blanket. Heater is a little on the loud side and the quiet mode seems to make no change. Only a minor issue, everything else is absolutely great. The control unit is easy to use and understand. It's working quickly and efficiently and is an absolutely necessity to get the most out of your pool!
Spa got me through Stage 4 lockdown – Stage 4 lockdown sucks. The one bright spot has been the ability to use our spa every evening. The boys and I have been able to forget about all the anxiety and let the hot water and an audio book wash away the days worries. We chose the DHP40-R because we wanted to use our pool and spa year round. It has been super affordable and heats up quickly even on a cold Melbourne winter day. Thank you EvoHeat! Show details
