Good motherboard for the money, does everything needed. Pathetic customer service Show details
The ASUS TUF GAMING B650M-E WIFI is a solid choice if you’re looking to build a compact, high-performance gaming PC with AMD’s Ryzen 7000 chips. It supports DDR5, has a couple of M.2 slots (including one PCIe 5.0), and built-in Wi-Fi 6, which is pretty handy. I like the chunky VRM heatsinks, so it stays cool even under heavy loads. makes tweaking things pretty easy too. I do wish it had a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for next-gen GPUs, and maybe a couple more USB ports on the back. But overall, it’s a reliable and well-featured board that’s easy to recommend.
Recently upgraded to an ASUS TUF B650M-E WiFi motherboard and it has been excellent. Board has some really nice functionality, a ton of IO and has a very sleek appearance. Absolutely zero complaints. Oh and much cooler VRMs than my previous board. Perfect choice for an AM5 mATX motherboard, and was a good bit cheaper than some of the other big brands when I purchased.
The ASUS TUF Gaming B650M-E WIFI motherboard is a good quality motherboard between the budget (during store discounts) to midrange value. Pros:- It has good solid Voltage Regulator Module (VRM) heatsinks which helps keep the PC running at cool temperatures as so far, my AMD 7800X3D CPU has yet to hit 70 degrees, with 240mm AIO cooler. reinforced PCIE 4.0 slot is a good 'insurance' for heavier/longer graphics cards but I would still recommend getting a graphics card stand or bracket.
The sleek black TUF Gaming look with a 'blocky' VRM design is appealing for silver/black case builds with or without RGB lighting.
Cons:- When not on sale, there are better options for the price (AUD $220 - $250ish when not on sale) but it will also come down to the aesthetics/looks of your build.
I would not recommend for very compact PC cases or larger graphics cards (more than 2.5 slots) as the PCIe graphics card slot for this motherboard is placed around the second slot and you will may not have not enough room for header cabling or airflow. This is a relatively minor issue as other motherboard manufacturers with larger VRM heatsinks have the same problems (i.e. always check your case dimensions)
First time AM5 build. Excellent feature set for price. This Micro-ATX motherboard is hard to beat when price is the main factor. Pros: Price PCIe-5 M.2 support x1 WiFi 6 2.5G Ethernet DTS audio Cons: No PCIe-5 x 16 No USB4 No WiFi 7
Nice microATX motherboard with decent VRM cooling and power phases. Running with Ryzen 7 7600 on stock cooler and no problems so far. Recommended if you can get it on sale.
