ASUS X53E laptop - absolute garbage – Less than 5 months after buying the thing... complete Motherboard and HDD failure. While ASUS does offer to sending a courier to collect the laptop (and deliver when repair is finished), this adds several days to the repair process. Somehow during the repair, the laptop got downgraded from 70gb to 299gb HDD, and from 8gb to 4gb RAM during the repair. So now it runs at snails pace and I have to book the stupid thing in yet again for repair and be without a computer for another week or two. Furious does not even come close to describing my reaction. Life is busy, I do not have time to work with such sloppy products and companies. ASUS... never again.

It broke, and was then downgraded during repair. Waste of my time.

Poor Quality Control – This is a nice looking computer with a clear screen but problems with the spacebar and mousepad indicate that it was not quality tested. I have sent it back for repair under warranty but there is still a problem and it needs to go back again. It seems most people buy it for gaming so perhaps it is not an issue for them. I bought it for office use and video editing but will not buy this brand again because of the poor quality control. Sleek design, large screen Keypad, mousepad and spacebar are faulty
