Terrible exchange rate – We got this card for a trip to the U.K. and Thailand but after using our ING card as we hadn’t fully tipped it up we realised the exchange rate was awful. Our bank gave us 1.87 AUD to the pound whilst the Auspost gave us $2 to £1. Doesn’t sound like a lot but over $5k it was £173 difference!! It was the same in Thailand too. We won’t use it… Read more

again. I’d recommend opening an account with ING instead as they refund all overseas currency fees and ATM charges.

Can't top up funds on app or via web page – Have tried reloading money via my phone app didn't work, then I went via desktop page - didn't work. Terrible. It's not the o/s travel card just domestic. On the app I input details and then can't get past the catcha pictures even though I answer them correctly. On webpage I input my details on the first page (16 digit number, email address, first… Read more

Absolute rubbish – Tried to reload card and it won’t let you as the box which says do you accept condition will not flag the tick. Users beware if you use this top up function overseas it does not work

Can’t fault it – I’ve been using this card for over fifteen years of travel throughout Europe and Asian countries and never had a problem with it. Easy to use so I would recommend. Show details

Don't lose this card when travelling – Travel cards are supposed to safeguard against loss whilst travelling. However, if you lose this card (only one card is provided per account) a replacement takes 7 to 10 working days and you must be available to sign for it's receipt. How many travellers are able to stay in a nominated place for days on end waiting for a replacement card? … Read more

According to the Product Disclosure Statement emergency cash replacement is available änywhere in the world, normally within 20 minutes, up to the available balance". I found it took at least a day where there is a Western Union office available and then only $1000 is available per day. Another phone call on a later day to their call centre is needed to get further cash. On top of this calls to their call centre were very unclear and often dropped out.
