I'm having a hard time in getting the balance from my card. What to do, a part following the prompt?

Why can't I get a balance. Used once but having trouble using a second time. Rang the Customer Support 1800 549718 but after keying in all information on the card I just keep getting the same reply as "we do not recognize this please try again".
We are having the same issue with a $250 gift card! Did you have any luck with yours?
Same issue here. I have 4 x $500 cards and everytime I enter the information to get my balance, it says they can't verify my card.
There's no contact number or support email, so I'm, just going to report it to ASIC.

I just spend half an hour on hold to speak with someone at Australia Post. Finally got through and got give a number to call for Mastercard 1800 053 410. When I called I got through almost immediately but it was the number for Ecards. They were able to put me through to the number for physical cards and also gave me the number 1800 549 718 and I was able to get my balances for 4 gift cards. At last!! Hope that helps
These cards are atrocious! We're all having such trouble with them. They're supposed to be used wherever you can use a Mastercard - it's just terrible we have to go to such ends. Someone should do A Current Affair segment on them to warn others not to buy them.
I am not paying to have my answer. So after hooking in with A Chat on Just answer I'll ask you. Why does'nt my Auspost gift card work. I've tried it at both Spotlight and Harrris Scarfe and it was declined
Hey Christine! The gift cards are useless. The only success we had was using the gift cards on the Australia post website to buy other gift cards, which then worked. Good luck!
Hayley I think the fact that the link takes you to a website that you have to pay for to get your questions answered is absurd!! I might try what you did as the 2 shops I have tried to use the card with just kept declining Aus.post gift cards should no be on the market if they won't work anywhere
I was wondering how long you get to activate your Australia Post gift card as mine is nearly a year old and I have never used it but I am told it is invalid when I try to activate it?

I have followed exactly the clear instructions on how to use my $100 Gift Card for a purchase on line. I typed the name of the cardholder as stated: GIFT CARDHOLDER. The purchase was declined but interestingly the box I typed Card Number, Expiry date and CVV were all ticked as being approved. It's when I typed the name on the card (GIFT CARDHOLDER) that the purchase of $92 was declined. I want a refund from Australia Post.

Unable to use the card, cannot get anywhere online to active or ask about balance. Absolutely hate getting girt cards a waste of money.
Sorry I am not able to help much. I had the same problems. Will never buy one again, a complete waste of money and time trying to get it to work.
Register your card with your email (see end). Then you can check your balance. The main problematic issue with these damn gift cards is that YOU** need to know the balance to be able to use them successfully during a split transaction, some retailers provide the balance on the receipt - most do not --> SO: external link

I do not work for Australia Post and just figured this all out by trial and error, but used my card at Bunnings. Your local Chemist might work but I had success at Chemist Warehouse. It is essential to login to the Australia Post Gift card website and confirm balance. I only had a portion left ($10-15) and had luck at Auto Barn splitting the cost of goods, but most retailers will not split the bill. Provided your purchase is not greater than the card amount, and you select CREDIT, it should work. The above is what worked for me, so good luck.
Good one, Thank You. Problem is, this card was straight out of the package it came in... it was rejected. I hate it when you are at the checkout, with others pushing to get out as well, but your damn card is rejected or for some other reason it is not accepted. Good thing I had $100 cash... I say, always carry good old fashion cash!
How do I activate the card
Login to external link Enter email and choose password. Card does not work for most online stores and not all physical stores. Always check balance and only enter amounts in store that are exactly the balance or below. Always swipe card, don’t tap, and select Credit. PIN not required.
Can you get an Etsy gift card in Sydney
I have no experience with Etsy. They are an American based company with an Australian branch. I would start with a low amount to test their supply and delivery chain, but am not fond of gift cards with only one outlet. Eg. A Coles Myer card gives options but other store cards like Target compel you to buy only from that company.

Hi can someone help me i have a giftcard with 498 dollars on it i made a purchase online and it was accepted so i put the card in the bin a week later i got a call saying it didn't get processed! but i threw the card in the bin i have the card number and expiry date and card id number too but i don't remember the ccv number i have called everywhere to aupost and they said its bad luck they can't do anything does anyone know where i can use it online to atleast buy something with it without using the ccv number i cant find any website

Yeah doesn’t work! Just call up the phone number it’s an automated service and will give balance
