I bought the AIS Water AutoChlor (RP25) back in November 2022 to replace an older salt chlroinator. After almost a 4 years of daily use in the Sunny Coast, I can safely say this unit is fantastic, the unit is still working past its warranty period and producing the chlroine that they claim on the box. Installing it into the existing pipework was straightforward, but the daily operation is where it really shines. The interface isn't cluttered with unnecessary digital menus or complicated apps that lose Wi-Fi connection. Setting the dial and internal timer took all of two minutes during installation. The reverse polarity self-cleaning feature actually works as advertised; I used to have to soak my old cell in acid constantly (every 2 months) , but the AutoChlor cell has stayed clean with zero calcium build up and having to soak it in acid every 10-12 months..
The main reason I’m writing the review. Most chlorinators claim 25g/hr on paper, but struggle to hold decent free chlorine levels once the pool hits 30°C in mid-January. The AutoChlor produces consistent chlorine output every hour it runs. Testing with my drop kit shows my free chlorine sitting reliably at 2.5–3.0 ppm, even after a weekend with three kids splashing around in the pool. I used to have to throw in liquid chlorine back-ups after big pool days, but I haven't bought any liquid chlorine since installing this.
If you’re looking for a heavy-duty, reliable salt chlorinator that delivers exactly what the box promises without constant babysitting, I highly recommend the AutoChlor.
