Baltic Amber Teething Necklaces

So disappointing – I ordered an amber anklet for my little one - received it almost a month later with the 'baby' amber anklet size so big I can slide it on and off my hand...how is it meant to be for a baby. They must have sent whatever was in stock because the bracelet isn't even labelled. Disappointing.

old has been a grumpy little so-and-so with teething; the bottom two finally popped out after months of teething symptoms and crabbiness, and we got about 3 days of her being pleasant again... then it started all over again. Furious gnawing on things and pushing her upper gums and palate with her thumbs, dribbling -- SO MUCH dribbling, fidgety and inefficient feeds, crappy unsettled naps and night feeding like a bodybuilder. And the CRYING and hollering and constantly waking was just making me angry-tired. I was so wrecked from lack of sleep and constant feeding that I was starting to really become a monster even I wouldn't want to be around. Nurofen and Panadol have never seemed to help, which led me to believe the issue wasn't pain exactly (I think far too much is made of everything being "painful" for babies when in fact it's probably uncomfortable, irritating, or just weird and new). I don't like dosing such a young baby with either of those, they do have quite an impact on the digestive system and liver, and I try to avoid them unless absolutely necessary.

I got the necklace in the post and immediately put it on my daughter. That night was WORSE, and I thought, oh great well this obviously isn't going to help! The next day, my husband and I both remarked she wasn't drooling everywhere, which was a dramatic change in itself. That night was a remarkable improvement with sleep! She was way more settled and went back to sleep really easily after her feeds. She even had a little sleep in in the morning instead of getting me up for the day at 5:30. We got up at the far more respectable 7:15. I was still willing to accept it was coincidental at this stage.

The next few days to a week after that I saw significant, continual improvements. Just after a week of wearing it now, and I have a very different little baby. The night feeds have spaced out to two longer stretches of sleep again, which I've only briefly experienced with my daughter prior to this, and she doesn't get me up for the day super early any more.

I was still thinking it could be coincidental and she might have improved on her own at this age anyway, and my husband and I talked about whether to take it off to test it, but ultimately agreed why risk it. I'm finally getting some sleep (the most since she was a newborn).

Well, this morning it was all different. Although she slept well, my husband remarked how drooly she was again, and her night feeds had been BAD, WIDE AWAKE CRANKY BABY nappy changes then feed. My first thought was "oh no, maybe it was a coincidence after all." She was fussy and distracted with her feeds again and cracked it really badly when I put her down for her nap. Like, hollering, un-breathing kind of crying and the morning nap is usually the easiest. I started tidying up a bit to distract myself from my depressing "well today's gone to hell then" train of thought... and found the amber necklace under her change mat!!! Holy frijoles, it does work. I put it back on her and she fell asleep almost immediately. Although I'm sure that last part was purely coincidence, the fact that all the symptoms had come back again since I left it off certainly isn't. I am happily satisfied this is making all the difference now. Hopefully it won't take several days of wearing it again to get back to where we were. I have just ordered a second necklace as backup in case something happens to this one -- and I ordered one for myself as well.

I only take it off for baths. Yes yes, I know -- but she's six months old and sleeps more than help of her life so if she didn't wear it when sleeping I'm not sure the effect would have a chance to be as significant. It's on very strong nylon string, each bead is knotted individually and she doesn't seem to play with it anyway. And honestly, if anyone wants to get in my face about it I invite them to come around to our house and look after a teething little monster 24/7 while trying to punch out some paid work as well. Then they can fight me about it. Mama bear don't care.

Does not work at all – I have been trying anything to help my little one with his teething pains. The teething bracelet did nothing apart from look nice on him. I researched it a little and was at the stage of just trying anything that would help. I have now tried the teething powder and having much more success

My baby stopped drooling and redness was gone by the days end. We saw more teeth emege but never another issue once we started using this actual genuine amber.

Worked better than expected – My first child needed only a bit of bonjela from time to time, however this baby, from 3 months had red cheeks, had Niagara Falls down his shirt and loves anything frozen to chew on. Panadol is the answer – They do absolutely nothing except make money for oldmate selling them. Got 3 kids, the wife has used on all of them, it did nothing. Only Panadol works. They are an excellent choking hazard. Wast of money if you ask me. Don't buy them, spend your money on a good carton of beer instead. It's the only type of amber I would recommend

They are AMAZING! – my son has worn one since 3 months of age. He is now 16months and has 10 teeth. All pushed through with no problems at all! The ladies from Amberocks are helpful, knowledgable and certify all their products! Highly recommend them and the product. Its a natural product so has you can expect, different results may be experienced but what have you got to lose!

So i did some more research and found Mumma Rocks. High Quality amber, yes more expensive, but you gets what you pay for! it came quickly and seems to be working great. Mumma Rocks Amber was professionally packaged and came quickly. Beads were beautifully rounded. That i went cheap to Ambiance Amber first….

LOVE IT!! – I bought a necklace for both my bubs (now 18 months & 4 months) and NEVER had a problem with teething! It Really Works – i was sceptical at first but really noticed the teething symptoms return when i left the necklace off for a couple of days. real amber will float whereas fake amber will sink. So I tested the bracelet and of course it sank. I also found out the lighter colours work better. So I had a look online and found recommendations for flower child where I purchased a light colored necklace for $40. It took a day and I noticed a big change in my daughter, her cheeks are not even close to being as red as they used to be. She isn't cranky and irritable like before. When she sleeps I wrap the necklace around her ankle just to be safe as it might get caught in her sleep. I highly recommend it, no harm in trying just make sure you buy from a genuine company :) Noticed a change in my daughter overnight! Love it!

I bought the bambeado necklace from Mothercare when my son was 5 months old. He was a big dribbler and would have a soaking bib by the end of the day. Since wearing the necklace he hasn't even needed to wear a bib!!

He has had 5 teeth come in one month with no real problems.

The two occasions when I have forgotten to put his necklace on him in the morning he has definitely been more irritable.

I would say the key is to make sure you are buying from a reputable company so you know it is genuine amber. Helps my baby with teething. Stops dribble.

didnt have the necklace on and could not figure out why she was so miserable. so that night i put the necklace on and the next day she was so much happier. it was then that i discovered that her molars were coming through. my partner was home for both of these days and commented on the difference that the necklace made. I Wish I Found This Before – I had no idea that such a small necklace could do so much good! so much good! Inexpensive- I bought 2 of these online for about $20 including postage. They are safe enough to leave on you child while they sleep.

Crock, waste of money and terrible customer service! – I bought an amber bracelet from Ambience Amber online after reading lots of reviews. The bracelet was on sale at half price for $10 with a flat rate of postage of $5 where the package was supposed to arrive as registered like stated on their site. of it being registered at all. I wrote back to the company asking why I had paid $5 for a registered parcel and it turned up not registered and with stamps to the value of $1.20.

Not only was the guy extremely rude and obnoxious, he admitted that was their standard practise and doesnt know how mine was sent out like so. I have had the bracelet on her and so far havent really noticed any difference at all but a friend has told me that in order to get the true effect of the amber you have to pay top dollar (the age old saying you get what you pay for) and they more 'raw' and unpolished they are the better quality they are.

I wil be buying another necklace when she is bigger but definitley NOT from Ambience Amber and will make sure I get them in the rawest unmodified form. The price of the bracelet. But that was my down fall - the cheaper price, the cheaper quality :-( Didnt really make much difference to her, wasnt the rawest form of amber - they'd been polished and the overcharging on postage and disgusting customer service has definitley been the thing I will not forget about this company.

Not sure if it works - but haven't had teething problems – It's hard to say if this works. We had some friends who had used it and swore by it. We decided to get it when bub was 3-4 months old and starting to look bothered by gum pain. Bub has now got 5 teeth and although at times is bothered by gum pain, her reaction to it is nothing compared to horror stories I've heard of being up for many nights in a row with no sleep!

For the price - if your bub is in pain, I think it's worth a shot!

What a crock! – A complete waste of money. If it makes you feel better to dress your baby in this pretty necklace (choking hazard) then go ahead, but don't expect any relief from teething (etc). For that I suggest a cold teething ring, teething gel or something with panadol in it... Looks nice Doesn't work - complete waste of money!
