Band-Aid Aquablock

The only bandaid to get for older sensitive skin. Keeps the wound dry and can stay on for days up to a week. It does not tear the skin when pulled off. I had things burnt off my face and they safely healed under these waterproof bandaids.
Purchased in at Coles Supermarkets.

I am a hairdresser, I get contact dermatitis at the sides of my thumb nails (after an initial reaction to acrylic nails) that skins become sensitive to any hair products. For the past 8 years I have used bandaids while working, to keep this area protected from hair products like hair sprays, heat protectants and so on, while I am working on peoples hair (where I have to use products but cant wear gloves as i do at the basin). The aqua block WERE formally the best, and i have been a loyal consumer buying 1x40 pack a week for many years now. You could say I am an expert on this particular product after daily use for so long. Sometime ago, I am 100% sure that Johnson and Johnson ( or Kenview?) Have changed the recipe in the adhesive. They have gone from being the best, to an absolute mess. To the point they break down after even half an hour and can not be removed cleanly. They seperate and fall apart when you try yo remove, as seen in my photos. These were after only 30 mins of wear. Its even worse after a whole day!. Its easier to remove liquid nails from skin. They leave a persistent sticky gum on the skin that takes great effort and many attempts to remove.
To the point I've resorted to using natural look after wax spray oil designed to remove hair removal wax from skin and surfaces!. It takes a minimum 3 spray applications, wiping off the oil spray and sticky gum residue each spray, with baby wipes. And even after this there is still a stickiness feel left behind. It has become so intolerable I feel I have no choice but to switch to try a different brand. I do not recommend these bandaids at all. I wish they'd go back to the great product they had before. Any newly or partly healed cells on an actual wound would be severely compromised by the amount of rubbing (even with oil) needed to remove the mess they leave behind. I just use them as a barrier, no wound, and its punishing. It would be far worse if you were actually wounded.
Very disappointing to have a trusted brand, change dramatically for the worse.
Purchased in at Coles for $5.
100% Not Waterproof – Most pathetic band aids I've ever used they are tiny and come straight off when they come in contact with water.
Purchased in at Woolworths Physical store for $7.
Fantastic – I tried the competitor's brand of waterproof bandaid - they fell off at the fist hint of humidity. But BAND-AID Aquablock are brilliant, more than 24 hours and still going strong.
