Worst bandaids designed by Johnson and Johnson. Not only are they too narrow to cover a sore or cut they don’t even stick to your skin. Poorly made and useless for what they intended for. Show details

The reports are easy to read and navigate.

My only concerns is it would be good to allow an additional vibration to be set for those who want to be woken up BEFORE becoming apnoiec, i.e. at 90%, not 88%.

The other ideal improvements would be streamline the size, and the battery time is only really enough for one full day.

The device is great value.

I saw another patient with one of these hotpods in the ER waiting room, noticing her cuddling it for hours before asking triage staff to reheat it. I… Read more

am so grateful to her, as it has been one of the most useful purchases I ever made, and THE BEST heat pack I have ever used. I use it every night. It soothed me through 4 weeks of recovery with bruised ribs and is now keeping my back and hips warm and pain free, for a more comfortable and better quality sleep. I generally heat it up about 10 or 11pm, and it's still lukewarm at 6 to 7am. It doesn't take long to warm up, though the bubbling noise initially startled me, it quickly allowed me to notice when it was hot enough, as it has an automatic shut off. I purchased my Hotpod at Chemist Warehouse for under $30 and had paid twice that in the past for smelly wheat packs that got damp in the microwave and wet my clothes. The Hotpod is consistent, warm, comforting, and a bargain. The only criticism I could make is that I'd also like a longer one in the range, to cover a larger area across my hips, back, and stomach. Definitely recommend.

Would nor recommend this to anyone!

I have purchased the engraved Medical ID dog tag, this review is only for that product. The tags are not cheap, to have one engraved on both sides… Read more

and shipping was AUS$92. The warranty is three months, a very short time for any warranty. Just over two months in the red alert symbol delaminated and fell off, I couldn’t find any information stating that it’s only plastic and not paint or enamel. I wrote to Universal Medical ID they said that due to being under warranty it would be replaced. The replacement is due …… I haven’t received a date but I have received an order number.

My concern is how often does this happen and what happens if it disintegrates again at 3 months and two days, it’s probable that this is a recurring problem. The product is of good quality and while very expensive I ambivalent about recommending it if the alert identification symbol falls off so soon after purchase. The company is replacing the dog tag at no extra cost to me and that is a good sign of their professionalism.

The company has a good reputation. I’m not saying don’t buy the product, it’s more be aware that the plastic symbol is not as durable as expected.

It’s easy to fold up with a storage clip, but I don’t fold it. This is my first non-wooden one,I just love the ‘pinkness’ of it. Weight capacity is 110 kilo,I am 64kilo and feel very safe on this stick,on the days that I need a stick I am very confident with my pink stick. The non slip non marking rubber tip is really good. It has five adjustable positions ranging from 84-94cm. The hand grip(also pink) is very comfortable. The holding strap is very handy. I have since seen them in Chemist Warehouse for $26.95. It is made in Taiwan Distributed by Medtronic Australasia Pty Ltd. 2 Alma Road Macquarie Park N.S.W.

action.

My thumb started hurting like crazy after a couple of weeks of using my elliptical trainer.

I put it down to grabbing the handles and the pressure placed on that part of the body. This brace, turned out to actually work. It looks cumbersome, but it provides the support where needed unlike the Mueller which was like fitting into a glove. If you can get over the look of the thing than get one because these glove type supports do nothing in my opinion. As far as sizing I went for the s/m and it just fits.

sometimes it's hard to stop. I was a big user when I worked of Styptic Pencils to stop bleeding when shaving but couldn't get them for a long time as no one seems to stock them any more. Then recently I found them again on eBay they come in 2 sizes and I would recommend the Jumbo one lasts a lot longer than the regular size I ordered 3 while I can get them. They work magic on cuts and stop bleeding straight away leave it in for a short time then wipe over with a warm face washer.

Accurate to a Point but expensive – This is the third Oximeter I have reviewed but it was not cheap. I wanted to find out what the ACT does, and does it work, and I wanted Bluetooth.… Read more

The unit comes in a large box with batteries and a lanyard.

I tested this against an OMRON HEM 7600T blood pressure monitor and a Creative medical PC-60F oximeter.

The first thing you notice about the unit is it has a skirt; the idea is to stop stray light entering the unit. it also has a stop/start button, some of the others don't you just stick your finger in it. It also has a soft rubbery feeling to the inside; most others are just hard plastic. When I checked my pulse, I thought there was something wrong, it took about 30 seconds to settle on a measurement my Sp02 level was ok, but my pulse came in at around 42-45 beats. I then checked this against the other machines, and they all agreed with about 2-3 BPM and the SpO2 level was with 1-2 units of each other. I could not see why my pulse was low this morning, I had gone out, walked a bit, drove my car, had some coffee, had no chest pain, was not dizzy, so I printed out the info after taking it a number of times and I will show my doctor next visit. The ACT started out giving me a 2 then it went up to a 3 and then a 4, after retesting a number of times the reading was either 3 or 4 so I guess my artery condition is between the 2. But what I believe is happening is this, it takes a measurement by somehow bouncing light off your artery, but it's hit and miss, Then, it applies some algorithm in a data base, which takes into account your SpO2 level and your pulse, then it spits out a result. The reason I say this is because I saw a variation depending on my pulse reading, this morning it was a 2 I went out, did shopping, took it again, and it was 4. But not so good. I reckon if it had been 5 or 6 I would have passed this info on to my doctor, but I am not sure what you can do when your arteries have hardened and this device, when it comes to the ACT is not that accurate. . The unit is a worthwhile addition to home health care and having an app where you can print out results is a bonus, but paying extra for the ACT is a big no from me.

It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

when my incisions were fully healed. They hadn't been covered/dressed for 2 weeks and were completely dry with no issues. After one day (10h or so) my wounds were weeping and painful again. It is extremely warm and the nurse when I went back to my surgeon said they had kept too much moisture in.

In all fairness it is 36*C here, but there should be a warning or some further information before people purchase.

For the steep price I paid Im really unhappy, I can't return because my wounds wept on it and I am out of pocket and have been advised by my surgeon not to use it again.

Don't waste your money on this crap – This is the absolute worst tape ever made. It does NOT stick to skin. It sticks hard to itself It as soon as you peel it back off the roll it suddenly has lost all stickiness and doesn't stick to anything.

recently I had to use a small piece on my forehead. It caused allergic dermatitis on my upper eyelid of my left eye. I didn't figure it out straight away, I was sure it was due to the new sunscreen or the formula change in my regular dry shampoo, so I stopped using them just in case. Yesterday I used Nexcare tape again, and now there's allergic dermatitis on my right eye. The tape is clearly the issue here.

I didn't actually realize Nexcare is made by 3M, a large conglomerate that contaminated half of USA with PFAS and supplied PFAS containing foam to Fire Rescue Victoria, which has caused severe health effects for many firefighters, and of course 3M are currently trying to avoid accountability. I'm not implying PFAS might be used in the Nexcare tape, it just shows the ethics of this company. I'm sure there are many other wonderful chemicals 3M don't mind using if it can make their products more appealing.
