Not robust or reliable enough to be described as a"semi-professional"machine – I've had my KT1800 for several years and I cannot say that I'm satisfied with what I have found. It has enjoyed a very easy life but the hose gave out prematurely by rusting internally and the outer casing was showing signs of severe cracking. I replaced it with a superior quality hose - no problems since. The machine is far too reliant on… Read more

'o'rings to maintain its pressure before they have to be replaced and I've had to do that several times now. I don't believe it's a good value or robust machine at all. I won't be buying another machine of this brand again as they simply haven't given me any reasons to want to. Note: As at the time of this writing, the machine has again lost pressure and therefore cannot be used until the problem has been rectified.

Good but not perfect – This replaced a 15 year-old Karcher 630M that was nearing the end of useful life. Compared to the Karcher it's a much bigger unit; weighing in at just over 23 kg and standing nearly twice the height but it also has twice the hose length (at 12M) but misses out on the variable pressure lance of the Karcher, having a high and low pressure… Read more

selection only - the latter only designed for picking up detergents and cleaners from the decent sized reservoir.

It's a noticeably more powerful unit (despite there only being ~440 PSI more max pressure) and the extra hose length means you rarely have to move it during use. It's used to do the cars weekly, the paving quarterly and the decks whenever they need refinishing and nothing that's been thrown at it has even looked like making it work hard.

Pros: the 1L detergent tank and the 12M hose are great as is the power and the fact that it ships with a 2nd (blasting) wand for use on paving along with a car wash brush which I've never used. There's also a huge range of quick change nozzles if the standard ones aren't to your liking.

Cons: The hose reel on this one is both poorly placed (at the bottom) and doesn't have a proper handle to wind it with so reeling the hose back in is a major pain. The only (neat) way to store the lance when it is packed away is to disconnect the wand from it as they don't fit in the slots provided when connected, Given that it's quite difficult to reattach them and it's also likely to prematurely wear the seals, this is a design flaw that could have been easily fixed.

Overall: It's considerably more than the average home handyman would ever need and at just over $1,000 it's priced accordingly. It really sits in the same space as the semi-professional units from Kerrick and Spitwater but at the lower end of their pricing.
