Wish I read the reviews first – Exactly the same experience as 99% of the reviews here. Flat, near on useless & loses bucket loads of feathers. Thought it would be better given it's price. Extremely disappointed. Show details
Disappointed – Unfortunately I ignored reviews and bought this crap quilt. Hardly any down or feathers. Tiny feathers come through covering, all inside doona cover and over floor. Had to shake cover outside before washing then vacuum floor. Store doesn’t accept returns due to health regulations. I will end up buying new quilt, different brand. Show details
Always losing feathers hi – Bought this quilt from Harris Scarfe and while warm it is constantly losing feathers! Like another review stated there are feathers all over the room, get stuck onto carpet, clothes and the quilt cover is covered each day making it look terrible! For the price I paid I expected so very much better! Show details
Brilliant , best of both worlds ( down & microfibre) – Bought this on sale and could not be happier , it is light weight but lovely and warm. Once you give it a good shake it fluffs up and holds air in it to insulate, I bought super king abs even my husband commented on how brilliant it is not to fight over the doona at night. Highly recommend, you must give it a good fluff up though once it’s out of packaging , it needs to get air into it. Show details
One star is too much! – Bought from Harris scarf. Worst doona ever. Thin, flat and useless from the moment I pulled it out of the box. $60 Kmart doona is far better and much warmer. Very disappointed. Show details
By far the worst feather and down quilt I've ever had the misfortune of owning. Steer clear – Purchased at Harris Scarfe around 6 weeks ago. Un-boxed it and lay it on a spare bed to fluff up, nothing happened. Hung it on the line in a stiff breeze, still flat as a tack. When hanging out on the line I noticed there is barely any feather and down in each square, just a little bit bunched up in each corner. It got down to 8° last night, 12°… Read more
as I write this and my feet are frozen and during the night I could feel the cool air seeping in. The material this quilt is made from is so stiff it crackles when you move. I was fooled by the high price tag, RRP $459. I bought it on special for $189 but even that is far, far too much to pay. Don't be fooled by the premium packaging, this is the apitome of false advertising, a disgrace, basically cheap Chinese rubbish and Harris Scarfe should be ashamed of themselves for selling such an obviously cheap and nasty product. I feel like taking it back and throwing it at them. I'm just so very disappointed in this product and I'm kicking myself for not checking Product Review before I purchased it.
Worst Blanket I have ever had! – This blanket is constantly losing feathers. No matter how many times I vacuum the bedroom, the whole room would be full of feathers the next day. It would also ruined all your black clothes! Don't waste your money on this blanket! Show details
70/30 duck down quilt – I have had duck down quilts on my beds for over 15 years and have loved their light, plump warmth. This year, I bought a Bas Philips doona. I am extremely disappointed. It will not loft at all no matter what I do. Can't return to Harris Scarf. Devastated. Show details
This quilt is useless – Bought this quilt in King size, from Harris Scarfe. I don’t think it would matter which State, or Territory you reside in, the result would be just the same. Very short on both sides of my bed, not to mention waking up freezing every morning! This is clearly a good example of price not always giving you quality. I can’t believe how little this… Read more
quilt retains any warmth. Maybe Bas was running low on duck feathers the day he made my quilt, or maybe he sucked us all in by premium sleek black packaging and gold writing, but in the end, Bas, you will never get my business again. After months of cold nights, I can truly say - What a crappy, unsophisticated quilt.
Very disappointed – Extremely disappointed very flat not near enough filling feel cold even on warm nights at present have 2 doonas on my bed as I wake freezing would there be any point in returning it to Harris Scarfe Show details
What a shocker! – i purchased a king size down and feather quilt 12 months ago, and am extremely disappointed. It constantly loses feathers ... I have to clean them up on a daily basis ... both off the floor and the bed. I have tried hanging it on the clothesline and letting it blow in the wind several times, but this hasn't helped. And when I change the quilt… Read more
cover it looks as though a duck has been slaughtered in the bedroom!! Very disappointed. Don't be fooled by the classy packaging ... it is an overpriced quilt that will create a mess!
Not happy sleeper – I purchased this product last year from day one it has lost feathers, the amount of feathers it loses is terrible. I am not happy about this product at all and as it was not a cheap product I expected it to be better. I have had feather doonas in the past and never had this problem. NOT HAPPY Show details
Nice and lightweight but it has been losing feathers – Purchased this doona before leaving home in April. We are in a motorhome and the feathers are everywhere!! Will return it for a refund once we get back home. Have always purchased feather down quilts of good quality and never had this happen before. I am sure it has been very unhealthy for us.

Need to change my quilt – Bas Phillips 70% duck down 30% duck feather. Lovely warm light weight quilt however it is constantly losing down and feathers. After changing quilt cover I need to vacuum every time. Thought this would improve over quite a few months of use. Has not. Won't have any down or feathers left soon. August 4th 2019 Update: 90% down 20% feather doona … Read more
Bought the doona from Harris Scarfes and put it on the bed beginning of Melbourne winter. Was so looking forward to it as it felt lovely. However it loses so much filling I need to vacuum every second day. Never had this problem with different brand doonas. Doona cover washing day the worst. The carpet is covered in down and feathers.
BAS PHILLIPS 70/30 Duck Down Feather Quilt Queen Bed – You deserve only the finest when it comes to sleeping. The Bas Philips Brand of bedding does it all. I was skeptical at first, but when i tried the quilt over the past 2 weeks, theres only one big difference that I've notice, and that is pure comfort. I wake up early in these winter mornings thinking to myself, is the heater on? i get up to double… Read more
check and realise that the heater was not on at all.
The quilt is exceptionally light weight (some might agree it's as light as a feather) but provides 100% warmth 100% of the time. I'm very happy with this quilt from the Bas Phillips range of bedding products, 'cause the quilt hides all of the stains.
To be honest it was the box that sold it to me. A very sleek and eye catching design which caught my eye out of all the other branded quilts at Harris Scarfe that day. Would i return it? not at all..... For someone who places sleep and comfort on a pedastal, lets just say that they are still sitting firmly on that stool.
Would i recommend this quilt to someone whom is looking for a new king/queen/double... quilt, yes absolutely.. the whole saying, you get what you paid for... this quilt is in that range for sure. highly recommend it.
