Baumatic BHI650

DO NOT BUY BAUMATIC COOKTOPS – 3 years after purchase our cooktop stopped working. An electrician advised us that it needed a new PCB, however after several months every spare parts supplier in Australia (including Baumatics own parts supplier) have told us that the PCB is no longer available and not being produced. Therefore we have a 3 year old cooktop that cost $1500 now out of warranty and unrepairable. Do not buy this cooktop if you want to cook food on it for years to come.

Stay away from all products that use 'Think Appliances to manage the warranty! – 'Think Appliances' manage the warranty for this product. 1yr into 2yr warranty & am being given 'the run around'! After a flawless installation & excellent operation for just over a year. Think Appilances is blaming a blown electrical board on incorrect installation. Our installation would have more air flow than most others! So much for investing over $800 in what seemed a great product! :( Think Appliances. .....I don't think so!
UPDATE: Well after sending photos of installation, still no answer to what exactly was wrong was electrical certified installation.
Patiently cooking on half a hob for a year or so,
Feb 2016 the remaining side stopped working.
Took all paperwork/photos to Ikea (kitchen cabinets). They could not fault installation. Purchased a replacement induction hob thru Ikea (5yr warranty). Different electrician wired in, still couldn't find fault with previous hob installation.
I'm definitely thinking Baumatic BH1650 .... DUD! LEMON! and a few other choice words!

UPDATE: After 6 months runaround and sending furious emails to Baumatic they finally said they could supply the part - after another 3 months waiting as a new batch was produced and shipped from China. So after 9 months with no working cooktop it is finally functional again.
