Not for me! – I bought this oven a few days before Christmas. It was the only option because I was desperate- I had family coming for the holidays. I am an experienced baker and this oven does not heat evenly or at the right temperature. It either burns the top or burns the bottom of whatever I am baking depending on what rack I bake on. There is no happy… Read more
medium. After having a repair man come to switch out parts several times, the dealership replaced the oven with a new one exactly the same. This new oven does not bake any better and the clock will not keep the right time. I have to re-set the clock every few days as it shows a random time. The dealership is willing to come out and look at it but I'm just tired of messing with it. Beko has worm me down. I would not recommend a Beko oven nor will I ever purchase another one.
Reasonably priced oven, that does a good job – The settings on the Timer knob are hard to gauge, as are the settings on the oven heat knob, its hard to know if you have put it on the exact right time or the exact right heat. The settings on the knob for the type of cooking e.g. fan forced are easy to read and work well. Otherwise the oven works very well. The racks/shelves in the oven are easy to use. Show details
very happy with the oven itself – very unhappy with the oven shelves, which aren't continuous, or flat. I have burns on both hands, and have dropped cooking trays.....yes, I did reverse the trays, burnt again. I just want a flat tray with no need to lift up the oooking trays or worry they will slip in the reversed position. can I gt new trays? Show details
GREAT BENCHTOP OVEN – I purchased this oven as a replacement to our old benchtop oven. Was fantastic to see that we were able to find a benchtop oven locally and that just plugs into the wall. No need for an electrician at all and was able to bring it home the same day as I purchased it! Only downside is the sliding middle shelf and the trays dip down making it hard to grab onto baking tins and pull out. So I just turn the trays over, problem solved! Show details
Good base model – We purchased this oven as a replacement to our previous Beko OIM 22501X. I love the large useable capacity that Beko offer in their standard sized 60cm ovens. We chose to stick with Beko due to the wide shelves, large trays, telescopic rail and ease of cleaning. The knobs do look and feel cheap but we opted to downgrade from a fully digital oven… Read more
as there is less that can go wrong with this oven. It is hard to get an accurate temperature setting as the display jumps from 150°C up to 200°C, I just have to guess and hope for the best. Food seems to cook well if you get the right temperature setting which I'm sure I'll get the hang of after we've had the oven a bit longer. The outside of the oven does tend to get quite hot which could be a problem with small children or pets.
Brain surgery has to be easier! – Bought this oven with matching cook top six months ago and have finally got to grips with it. The instructions are quite complicated and the heat settings are dissimilar to other ovens I have used. The self-clean function is a pain and it is easier to clean it manually by the time everything is dismantled - quite a lot of smoke too. Have given… Read more
up on the timer and use a manual one. However, now that I have grown accustomed to it, this oven certainly does do a good job and my results are great. The cook top is fantastic - no complaints at all.
Cheap knobs and very inaccurate temperatures – I kinda knew this wasn't the oven from me from the start, but it seemed be the best option for the price. I was very suspicious about the cheap-looking knobs, and it turns out I was right because the temperature is WAY off. What looks like 180C (not fan-forced) is at least 200C. To get 180C I have to set it at 150C on the oven and even then it's… Read more
running too hot. I don't know if the thermostat is out of whack or if it's just that the knobs are inaccurately labelled with temperatures (and between 150C and 200C not labelled AT ALL, just a big old blank space). Also the telescopic rails (one of the selling points for me) seem to have a mind of their own and sometimes just slide back inside the oven when I'm trying to put things in, and often with enough momentum to propel my baking against the back wall, which I then have to reach in and adjust. The actual racks are weirdly slip-slidy and have a raised bar at the front that makes it difficult to position things (I've already burned myself on this). I'm wishing now that I'd bought the Westinghouse.
Lovely looking and easy to use oven – We replaced our old oven with this Beko base model oven. It is great, it looks modern and sleek (IMO) and works really well. Setting the timmer is a little annoying as it tends to jump forward, but that is my only criticism. It is much cheaper than brands and we would recommend it. Show details
Fantastic oven for the price – No other oven came close for this price. Nothing in the price range has telescopic rails, easy clean nano coating, let alone the size. And that's not even including the different cooking modes. It even has a pizza mode. This oven has been great since we got it. Wife has been really happy with it and loves the extra size.
