We bought this washing machine/Dryer (Beko Freestanding Washer BWD7541W) 2 years ago and also bought 5 years extended warranty. Within first 12 months of the purchase the machine broke for the first time and we had to wait about 2 weeks before someone came in to fix the machine, even after several emails and phone calls to Beko. This washing… Read more
machine broke again on 30th July 2025 and I called Beko requesting repair under extended warranty. Beko subcontracted the repair issue to their agent' on 31st July with a company called 'Courtesy Appliance Service'. I was told by Beko that someone from the agent's office will contact me within 1-2 working days. I waited 4 working days and then rang the 'Courtesy Appliance Service' 3 times and spoke to a gentlemen there. Each time he told me that he will call me back and arrange a technician to come over He never called me back. Yesterday (7th August) I called the Beko's agent again and he said he will call me back within half an hour and confirm the technician to come over. AS usual he didn't call me back.
Since we bought this washing machine, we had several problems and had to reset a few times, through telephone support from Beko. My experience with Beko's service (When a repair is requested) is horrible. I had a different brand of washing/Dryer machine before we bought this Beko brand. That particular brand never had any issues for over 6 years. Based on my experience with Beko, and specially their customer service, I strongly recommend others not to buy Beko machines. In my experience, Beko's appliances are not worth the money and stress one have to go through if the machine breaks down.
5/5!! OWNED THIS MACHINE FOR 4 YEARS NOW! Washes and DRIES with EASE!! – EDIT: after 5 years of owning this machine, it has recently stopped drying.. however, after looking online at other washer dryers, I opened up the machine and removed the top case to the condenser which was absolutely jampacked full of lint! My jam pack I mean huge fist size packed handfuls. I removed this and it is now drying again like the day… Read more · 1
we bought it!
5/5!! OWNED THIS MACHINE FOR 4 YEARS NOW! I think a lot of people on here don't know how to use the machine properly. Unfortunately the wash & wear cycle is pretty rubbish as the name suggests which is where I think a lot of people go wrong with this machine. Change the mode to 1 that allows you to run a 90 degree temperature such as daily and then select 150 dry setting and this machine will dry large loads with towels and jeans no issues! It is a long cycle but it will wash and dry so effectively! We run as at night as we have a very cheap off peak rate.
Don't Bother – Machine leaking after 9 months - Customer Service very poor with no care factor Bekos preferred repairers are Optimume Solutions who require 72 hours before a technician will call to even discuss let, alone come out and check. Beko and Optimume just do not care. And the dryer cycle does not dry anything totally. Show details
Wash&Dry combo may not be the best choice – Just brought this washing machine today 26/01/2024. We tried our first setting, Wash and wear (40 minutes) It kind of wash it, but then just sit there and stop. We then tried the 4 hours and it does the same thing. Washes it for 2 hours and stops. One of the worst appliances I have ever owned – The washing machine washes. (I have not used the dryer function yet.) It doesn't get all the laundry powder so there's always a lump of unused detergent in the drawer. It destablises easily; I washed a single-bed thin doona and the washing machine fell off its stand which I've used for over 10 years and never had an issue with previously. The… Read more
drawstring of my husband's shorts got caught in one of the holes in the drum, and I can't get it out. Some programs are only available through the app, which is Bluetooth-connected, and the manual doesn't tell you how to get to those programs (eg drum clean) through the machine itself.
It was easy to install. Some shirts still smell like BO after being washed in a normal cycle. The cycle times are longer than my previous washing machine. For example, the drum cleans takes over 3 hours on this machine compared with 2 hours on my previous machine. The wash itself only takes an extra ten minutes, and you have to manually choose the water temperature every cycle as it doesn't remember what settings you used previously.
Easy to use – Easy to use machine + the Autodose function means I just fill + wash. Can fit large bulky items (except my super king doona) which means in this rainy weather I can just keep washing! Show details
