Awesome oven! Great for bread making – I spent a lot of time researching ovens before buying one to replace our dinosaur. There are hardly any Beko reviews around but I was sold a couple of points: Firstly, it is the only oven I am aware of that has temperature control settings starting at 40 degrees celsius, with 5 degree increases. Their manual suggested it could be used for… Read more

yoghurt making and dough rising. I have used it for dough rising during winter when it was too darn cold either inside or outside to get the dough to rise in a reasonable amount of time.

Secondly, the price for similar ovens with similar functions to this Beko were a lot more expensive. My retailer suggested that the price I paid ($1100) was a temporary price point that the brand was using to entice new customers, and that once the brand gets more established in Australia (they have been around for 70 years in Europe) the price will go up.

I also picked this oven because you can turn the fan forcing off so sponge cakes and bread is not blown away. Many reviews stated the fan forcing in many ovens a huge problem. I proof and bake my own break weekly and it cooks perfectly. Sponge cakes have been great too. Have had some trouble with cooking heavier cakes, because they often are gooey at the bottom. I have been playing around with different cook settings and temp setting, but still trying to find the right one. I hardly cook cakes though, so haven't had much practice and I suspect I'll find the perfect setting soon. I also make my own pizza bases, and since getting this oven my husband reckons my pizzas rival the $30 ones down at our favourite Italian restaurant. I credit this with the heating element at the bottom of the oven which cooks the pizza from underneath. If I am impatient I make sure the base has risen, then I flick the cook setting to the boost fan and it only takes about 4 minutes to brown the top of the pizza.

Couldn't live without this oven! Also bought a cooktop in same Brand and love it too!

Finally, when questioning the warrantly the local store insisted they will be fine. He said they are so keen to establish themselves in Australia that he's sure they will look after customers. He said the rep had driven many hours to our regional location just to visit the store and say 'hi'. Reliable, fast, great value for money, temperature control from 40 degrees C upwards for dough rising.
