Rendered useless now that the video service platform has been discontinued – After just over two years since purchase I am now told the NetCam will be unusable when their video service platform will terminate! Since it is over 2 years I will not get a refund. I have bought a number of Belkin products over the years but never again. An atrocious way to treat customers! Show details

The UI Design is Appalling and Video Quality Poor – This Chinese made camera has awful UI Design in the app and in the browser software and the Chinese manufacturers do not care about improving this one bit. The UI design has been like this for at least 3 years and they have no interest whatsoever in improving it. There are numerous complaints online about the fact that you cannot delete clips… Read more

in bulk and yet the company refuse to implement this simple requirement. It is such a frustrating user experience. You also cannot scroll the timeline on the software but must click one at a time to advance forward 5 clips. Again, it has been like this for at least 3 years and they have no interest in updating the software to bring it in line with expected UI standards.

The video quality is poor at 640 x 480 and again, Belkin have no interest in improving this to bring it up to modern day requirements.

Do not trust this just because it has Belkin written on it. Belkin don't care that it's a poor quality product otherwise they would have improved it over the last 3 years. I don't know how they are getting good reviews on Cnet, but trust the reviews here instead.

The best I can say about this camera is that it works. Other than that, I would recommend you spend a bit more $ on a better quality product that will not frustrate you when reviewing video online or in the app.

As a result of buying this camera, I will never buy another Belkin product.

Garbage – Return it to the store you bought it from, this is a 2 dollar Chinese camera with Bekin written on the case. Do not waste your money or time on it.

Dont Bother – What a waste of money - quality is poor, but it is almost always showing as offline. Other reviews indicate that the issue is with Belkin not connecting you to the camera - not your WIFI connection as they will tell you. I've also seen the problem solved if you pay Belkin a fee to access storage for the device....funny that! If you want reliable security video - spend the money on a hard wired system.

What a waste of money – This is a very expensive device for the capabilities you get from it. Firstly, the video quality is terrible. This is a 640 x 480 camera. Those specs would have been good in 1995, but these days there's no excuse for not equipping it with a better sensor for those with the bandwidth to take advantage of it. Connecting to the camera is a hit and… Read more

miss affair. I'm using the app that came with the cam, connected to the same wireless a/c network (VERY FAST). The camera takes between 10 seconds and 1 minute to display whats going on when you connect, IF it connects at all. Probably about 1/3rd of the time I get a "video interrupted" error. Just for comparison, I can have a high definition video phone call with my kids from the other side of the country over a mobile phone network with at least triple the performance of this system using a wireless network less than 5 meters away!

Finally, the interoperability of this device is awful. I was expecting to be able to point the device at some kind of network storage and record video when the motion sensor went off, and review it using whatever software I wanted. However, although the product has these capabilities, it does not allow you to use them unless you are subscribed to their service, which attracts a monthly fee.

I'll say that again. The device has features which are locked unless you pay money, monthly, to use them. If you are good with technology and wanted to hook this up yourself as the backbone of a home security system, forget about it. There are far better and cheaper devices available from aliexpress/ebay/take your pick.

Poor video quality – I think that dlink are not QC there product correctly and using inferior parts the 930l claims pixels 920 far from that the image is blurred? You cannot change the image quality as is stated ?

Big fail – Try connecting camera to the internet and it will take you 2 weeks, if it connects at all. This camera does not work well at all. I've tried connecting the camera to the internet via wifi AND ethernet but neither of the methods work. This reduces the capabilities of the camera as I needed to be able to connect to the camera while I am away from… Read more

home. Now it seems that I am the proud owner of a useless camera. I've tried viewing the camera with multiple phones using the NetCam app, which is also useless by the way. I will be returning this to the store.

Belkin netcam with night vision wififi – This was easy to set up and worked but for security recording it was disappointing. Moving figures were too blurred for identification of an intruder. Therefore useless for the police. The pictures were clear with good colour, but even in good light there were some not very sharp images of people. The recording worked well but again whats the… Read more

use if the moving figures are too blurred especially as they move right up near the camera. I need a security camera for prosecutions fine for general use.
