Buyer Beware! The only good bialetti are the moka (not moka express)! The silver aluminium moka pots are Made in Italy with it engraved & the top quality of all components in pots are noticeable. On the other hand the Moka Express (especially the colour variations) are NOT made in Italy but made in china & components are cheap & poor quality from… Read more

the lid movement to the rubber ring & filter components. You can feel the light weight poor quality as soon as you open the box as well as the noticeable missing made in Italy component. They also cover the made in china on box with a sticker partially showing the designed in italy part to make it look like made in italy. RETURNED IT! Look at reviews of how the moka express components break, leak & bubble up! To make matters worse they are charging these crap products at inflated prices & more than original made in italy! Made in italy lasts decades (even the aluminium). Unfortunately no longer stainless steel versions available in AU or anywhere it seems. The aluminium made in italy is the next best choice. I bought these as a back up before they all produce only poor quality pots. Mine have lasted 20yrs & still fine! Haven't even replaced rubber ring! The made in china rings are a clear worthless poor substitute!

The Classic Italian Espresso Experience – The Bialetti Moka Express, a staple in the realm of coffee-making, is more than just a coffee maker; it's a symbol of traditional Italian espresso. Its distinctive octagonal design isn't just for aesthetics; it optimizes heat distribution, ensuring a perfectly brewed espresso every time. Crafted from high-quality aluminum, the Moka Express is… Read more

both durable and lightweight. It's designed for use on a stovetop, making it a great option for those who appreciate the ritual of brewing coffee as much as the drink itself. The process is simple yet requires a bit of attention, perfect for those who enjoy a hands-on approach to their morning brew.

The coffee produced by the Moka Express is rich, robust, and full-flavored, reminiscent of the espresso found in Italian cafes. It strikes a delightful balance between the ease of a drip coffee maker and the intensity of a traditional espresso machine. The size variety is also a plus, with options ranging from a single cup to twelve cups, catering to different needs and occasions.

One of the most appealing aspects of the Moka Express is its simplicity in design and function. There are no complex parts or electronic components, making it easy to clean and maintain. This simplicity also contributes to its longevity, with many users reporting that their Moka Express has lasted for years, if not decades.

However, the Moka Express does have a few drawbacks. The aluminum construction means it's not suitable for use on induction stovetops without an adapter. Additionally, mastering the brewing process can take a few tries, and the coffee might taste a bit metallic until the pot is 'seasoned' through repeated use.

In terms of cost, the Bialetti Moka Express offers great value. It's an affordable alternative to high-end espresso machines, yet it doesn't compromise on the quality of the coffee it produces. For those who love the ritual of brewing and savor the taste of traditional espresso, the Moka Express is an excellent investment.

In conclusion, the Bialetti Moka Express stands out for its classic design, durability, and the rich, flavorful coffee it produces. It's an ideal choice for coffee enthusiasts who appreciate the art of traditional Italian espresso making. While it requires a bit of practice to perfect the brewing technique, the result is a deeply satisfying coffee experience.

Im loving it – having recently retried i needed to curb some of my coffee expenditure. I watched a few (many) Youtube vids on what was a good home alternative. Years of flawless function – I bought my moka pot at Myers years ago. It makes one cup (two small Italian cups) of very hot, aromatic and flavoursome espresso. I grind my own beans. Pot looks well-worn by now; coffee stains inside, scratches; it's got character. The sealing ring is still the original one, as is the safety valve. Bought another one since then to provide coffee… Read more

for visitor, and today I purchased a 10 cup stainless steel model, Bialetti Venus (INOX - Lusso). Ten Italian cups - just the right amount for two big mugs - one for myself, one for a guest. Still, for only $2000.00 more I could have bought a Jura Red Dot fully automatic espresso machine. LOL !

Quality? – I have an older stainless steel pot which I had to replace . The new one is quite different in quality and made in China - not Italy . Very flimsy and the lid came completely away as its only lightly soldered on. Also the rim is quite sharp and the thickness of the steel seems thinner.I will have to replace it now but am doing so with an Italian made one . Am sad to say I wouldn't recommend Bialetti again. Show details

Best investment! – I spent about a good year trialing and getting use to using a percolator that was a little more inexpensive than this gorgeous brand, and finally invested in a Bialetti about 7months ago. I have absolutely no regrets! Despite suggesting 9-cups, it's good to be aware that this indicates 9 standard espresso shots. I tend to prefer a stronger cup of… Read more

coffee (a double shot) in my flat-white so one pot usually gets me 2-3 cups. Also good to note, is to avoid coffee spitting and splattering all over your stove top, I recommended trial/error the perfect temperature heat when making a pot for your stove-top (especially since everyone's heat source can be different). Some youtube video's I watched suggested a low heat, but my induction cook-top is best used at a tiny bit over medium/halfway. This ensures the water in the chamber is entirely used, and doesn't leave the coffee tasting burnt/bitter. I highly recommend to also follow its care instructions, as I put my inexpensive model previously into the dishwasher and it lost all of its pretty shine, where the care instructions actually say not to put it in the dishwasher (oops!). It also recommends to use luke-warm water when handwashing with no soap agents (as I think this will tarnish the metal). I use a paper towel and warm water to rinse it clean and it's fine. I also like my coffee to sit and steep once finished for a richer flavor and re-heat in the microwave.

Very danger – We bought in April since most of my local coffee shop were close due to covid 19. After 6 month used it, in one morning, my kitchen exploded. It turned up, this coffee maker couldn't release the steam properly, then it flew like a rocket ship, shattered my glass range hood, and created a hole in my ceiling. Lucky everyone was safe, only my husband who made the coffee had few bleeding from the glasses. Show details

Idiot proof coffee – I bought mine two years a go from David Jones and haven't had a problem. I really don't understand how half of the complaints can be possible. Rusty? How? It's aluminium or stainless steel, neither which can rust. If you are cleaning and drying it after each use, it can't rust anyway. Leaking around the join between the two halves? Screw it up… Read more

tighter and check to see the rubber seal doesn't have coffee grounds on it, stopping it from sealing. With a bit of common sense these will be problem free for a long time. The only complaint I would have is that the stated 3/6/whatever cups aren't really accurate. the three cup version is good for one cup of actual coffee, unless you count the little espresso cups as a cup.

The only coffeemaker you'll ever need – Upgraded to Bialetti after very average experiences with cheaper brands. Bialetti is a classic and for a reason. This machine makes consistently great, smooth, strong coffee. I use Lavazza Gold and don't tamp the grind. Put it on the small burner and wait 3 minutes - a much-loved morning ritual. Don't use soap or scourers on the inside. Just… Read more

For serious coffee drinkers who want a good coffee – This is a classic system that never fails. I have two sizes, one for 2 people and one for 4 people, and each produces consistently outstanding brews. It has been my favourite coffee making method since living in Italy over 20 years ago. The Moka delivers perfect coffee every time you use it and the best part is that you know exactly what is going… Read more

into your coffee (i sometimes wonder about the pods and what 'else' they may be adding). When purchasing ground coffee, my advice is to ensure that the brand states on the packaging that it is appropriate for a moka - if the grind is too fine it can plug up the filter and prevent the water from getting through properly. Follow the instructions exactly and only wash with hot water.

I am amazed that pod machines are as popular as they are when such a great method has been around for 100 years.

Is great but started leaking only 10 months in – I LOVE the Bialetti. Within 6 months of having it however, it leaks while it makes coffee. Super annoying as it makes the hotplate really dirty. It comes with a 2 year warranty so will have to check if its covered. Show details

Piece of Italy in the home – First time using this style of coffee maker and it's just how they make espresso at home in Italy. Who needs an expensive machine when this little moka provides the same consistent results? I found it extremely easy to use and I got the Italian coloured design which is super cute. My bialetti moka is 3 cup and this is 3 espresso sized cups, not 3 metric cups. Just cleans with warm water. Would recommend this beautiful Italian-made piece of art Show details

The morning ritual – I purchased our perfect Moka pot for my partner who prefers espresso coffee & had been "making do" with an old French press set-up for far too long. For coffee lovers – This is an excellent little coffee maker. The Bialetti Moka makes great coffee every time. It has stood the test of time for a reason - because the coffee you get always tastes delicious. It’s easy to use and quick to clean and the grounds go straight into the compost, so it’s very environmentally friendly. Very happy I bought this coffee maker.  Show details

Great coffee – So much better than the coffee pod machine! Having fun experimenting with different grinds and roasts in this moka pot. Enjoying the process of actually watching the coffee bubbling up, it makes it feel like a nice slow enjoyable activity rather than a 5 second caffeine hit. I like the simplicity of making a coffee on the stove top this way. Very easy to use and easy to clean- just wash with water only.  Show details

Strong espresso - the best method! – I like strong coffee Italian style and in my opinion, nothing beats the Bialetti. Its simple, its a classic and it just works. The Classic Italian – I simple love this classic Italian coffee maker. I love the way it looks, I love the coffee it makes, the noise that it makes as the coffee comes up. The oldschool reliable classic way to make coffee – Automatic coffee machines from the likes of Nespresso and others are great for their ease of use and convenience (I have an DeLonghi Lattissima Premium) but they can be far from cheap, and the pods are far more expensive than packaged ground coffee from your local supermarket or coffee specialist. average Italian kid grows up drinking from the age of 10.

So, for a single traditional full strength Italian espresso, nothing beats the simplicity, effectiveness and price of a coffee made with a Bialetti Moka Express (I have a 1 cup and 6 cup model). With just 3 parts, usage couldn't be easier. You fill it with water, put in the coffee grounds, stick it on the stove and wait a few minutes for a fresh hot coffee. It's so simple, you could even train your useless kids to make you a coffee every morning. Sure, it doesn't make up for all the money they sponge off you from the day they're born till the day they put you in a nursing home, but at least they'll know how to make you a decent coffee when they visit you once a year when they've run out of money again, those little basta...where was I..?

Oh yeah - coffee. Buy a Bialetti Moka Express for yourself. They're cheap and they work - unlike your children.

This is my stand by appliance when I run out of capsules – I love this product, it is easy to use, just put coffee and water inside and hop it on the stove top. It uses ground coffee and there is no need to worry about capsules. I like using it and the coffee comes out great, minus the crema. The coffee is strong and does not have that perfect crema as from a bigger machine or a capsule. Still, it is very cheap to buy and cheap to use as well.  Show details

Inferior construction and a company that doesn't stand by its product warranty – I've had and used many espresso makers.
